Does Gozen Match allow each player to choose one attribute or does it make one attribute on the field the only attribute allowed. ie I use a Harpy Lady deck, I choose wind as my attribute. My opponent activated the Gozen Match and she chooses dark as her deck is based on Dark Monsters. Or, Involving the above decks since she activated Gozen Match she calls dark, therefore only allowing Dark Monsters on the field. The reading of the card is a tad bit confusing.

You don't have to "call" anything. Gozen Match simply states you can only control 1 attribute at a time. That means you could have wind, and your opponent could have dark. However, if a Torrential Tribute is activated to destroy all monsters on the field, you are NOT restricted to wind and your opponent is NOT restricted to dark. However, if you played an earth monster after the Torrential, you could not summon any wind monsters until that earth monster is removed from the field. — This unsigned comment was made by 72.73.173.108 (talk • contribs) 19:14, 15 February 2009 (UTC)
- I think a look at Rivalry of Warlords's rulings will help a lot. Besides Rivalry of Warlords works the same way as Gozen Match. ATEMVEGETA (Talk) 19:23, 15 February 2009 (UTC)
