Forum:Help needed for edit to Fusion, Synchro, and Xyz monster pages

Okay, there was an addition that was made to CardTable2. This allows users to search for Materials of Fusion, Synchro and Xyz monsters. This would be by using ?Fusion Material, ?Synchro Material and ?Materals. Please read the following section and then follow by helping out.

The following flags need to be added to each of the pages:

Fusion Monsters[edit]

  • |fm = X
    • This flag needs to be added to each Fusion Monster's card page. Replace "X" with one of the specifically listed Monster Materials. Do not make the monster's name a link or surround it in quotation marks.
    • Additionally, do not add duplicates if there are more than one of the same monster in that list. (for example, "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon" will only have "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" listed once.
    • If more than one specific material is listed (like almost all Fusion monsters), start a new line for each Specified material and add a number after the fm starting at the second line with the number 2. Example below for "Armityle the Chaos Phantom"
      • |fm = Uria, Lord of Searing Flames
      • |fm2 = Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder
      • |fm3 = Raviel, Lord of Phantasms
    • Do not use this flag for any case in which there is a non-specific monster listed. For example, "UFOroid Fighter" requires "UFOroid" + 1 Warrior-Type monster, list "UFOroid" but not "1 Warrior-Type monster" because that is not a specific card.

Synchro Monsters[edit]

  • |sm = X
    • This flag needs to be added to each Synchro Monster's card page. Replace "X" with one of the specifically listed Monster Materials. Do not make the monster's name a link or surround it in quotation marks.
    • If more than one specific material is listed (like almost all Fusion monsters), start a new line for each Specified material and add a number after the sm starting at the second line with the number 2. *Example below for "Majestic Star Dragon*:
      • |sm = Majestic Dragon
      • |sm2 = Stardust Dragon
    • Do not use this flag for any case in which there is a non-specific monster listed. For example, "Cosmic Fortress Gol'gar" requires "Alien Ammonite" + 1 or more non-tuner "Alien" monsters, list "Alien Ammonite" but not "1 or more non-tuner "Alien" monsters" because that is not a specific card.

Xyz Monsters[edit]

  • There is currently no Xyz Monster that requires a specific monster. Do not use |xm = X. It is not in use yet for this reason. Xyz Monsters only require the general flag below.

General Flag (for all Fusion, Synchro, and Xyz Monsters)[edit]

  • |materials = "X"
    • This flag needs to be added to ALL Fusion, Synchro, and Xyz Monsters' pages. The X is replaced by the entire materials section. No Links are to be added to this. Quotations are placed. Examples:

Task List[edit]

Select a Section and sign after a selection by adding 4 "~"s after that listing on that same line. After you have completed a section, Add the term "COMPLETE" before your signature.

I was expecting: Any 5 "Neos", "Neo Space", "Neo-Spacian", or "HERO" monsters, including at least 1 "Neos" or "Neo Space" monster, 1 "Neo-Spacian" monster, and 1 "HERO" monster like it says on the card.
Came across another few. How about:
Elemental HERO Clay Guardian
Neo-Spacian Marine Dolphin/Other "NEX" related
Masked HERO Acid/Other "Mask Change" related
Super Fusion God
Use OCG lore of Rainbow Neos or TCG lore? (I'd go with OCG)

The one that I said was much more direct and we need to keep it small because it is intended for queries. How about the following:

For the sake of the Users here, I think that we should go with "Elemental HERO Neos" + "Rainbow Dragon" or "Rainbow Dark Dragon" OR "Elemental HERO Neos" + "Rainbow Dragon"/"Rainbow Dark Dragon" for Rainbow Neos. We could always change it if another "Ultimate Gem God" monster is released in Japan, however the problem is that most Users will probably be unfamiliar with the term "Ultimate Gem God". I know that I am.
For "Combat Scissors Beetle": "Front Change" + "Assault Cannon Beetle", These Anime cards keep causing trouble. --LordGeovanni- (Talk To Me) *Kupo* 14:24, April 20, 2012 (UTC)
