No, just old, due to Magic the Gathering owning the word 'Magic' in relation to card games, the word 'Magic' as a card type was changed to 'Spell', as was Magic Ruler changed to Spell Ruler.

So that's the reason? I never knew that. I have a bunch of those "Magic" cards.BobaFett2 (talk)

Nope not at all. The card(s) your referring to are the 1st generation of Yugioh! cards. Those cards have since been changed to "Spell" cards. They aren't fake, but more than likely those cards have been "Errata" or updated for today's Yugioh! TCG. They are still playable, good question though. FWIW, the Magic versions of cards may (may) be worth more than the Spell versions... depending on who's looking for what (the biggest question is, how many collectors out there (other than me) focus specifically on getting the Magic and Spell versions of cards). ダイノガイ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 08:11, March 12, 2011 (UTC)

no no no i was talking about the fact that the kanji i mean the circle with the japanese charactor on top of which it would say spell or trap or magic or attributes like dark light fire etc. it says magic but the card says spell card with the equip sign not magicSetokaiba19 (talkcontribs) 15:47, March 16, 2011 (UTC)setokaiba19

File:Spell.png? This is the same kanji character that is used in the attribute symbol for all spell cards, regardless of age (or region, actually). It would help if you could get a picture of the card and upload it to Photobucket or something so we could actually get a look. ダイノガイ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 18:27, March 16, 2011 (UTC)
I think he meant for "[Spell (+)]" line instead of "[Magic (+)]". --FredCat 18:44, March 16, 2011 (UTC)
Actually, as he declared Kanji in the first part, i wasn't sure what he meant, so uh... ignored it, but Dino might be right, so we would need to see image probably, to be able to tell you-Resk (Talk) 23:54, March 16, 2011 (UTC)
