Forum:Legions of the Dark Ruler, Old deck looking for new cards

An Deck made mostly of Older cards with one or two new ones givin to me by friends, was a pretty Solid casual deck back in the day. I was just looking for oppinions and any suggestions to make it a more solid and powerful deck since I dont know many of the newer cards out there...

Also I know theres a chunk of card in there that aren't Tourney Legal like Yata and The Witch so any sugestions for a side deck to replace them would be cool to.

ok just take out the banned cards and for a start put in 2-3 dark illusion to protect your key dark monsters from spells,traps, or monster effects since u r doing a dark ruler theme use some dark world monsters likeKahkki, Guerilla of Dark World,Gren, Tactician of Dark World, as well asDark Resonatorthis is just a start.Inygmazen 06:45, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for the suggestions Inygmazen unfortunatly I could only get ahold of the Dark Illusions but I'll keep a look out for some of the others. Anyways I've made a few changes that change the deck strategy somewhat but should make it a more solid deck in the end, but I'd like to hear what others think of them...

-1 Great Maju Garzett, +1 Dark Necrofear(Remove those Monsters), +1 Caius the Shadow Monarch(Nice Effect),

-1 Bazoo the Soul-Eater, -1 Witch of the Black Forest, -1 Brain Jacker, -1 Magician of Faith, -1 Yata-Garasu, +1 Mystic Tomato(Replace Witch, maintain field presence), +1 Armageddon Knight(Fodder for Necrofear), +2 Skull Knight 2(Field Presence, Necrofear Fodder), +1 Wall of Illusion,

-1 Nobleman of Extermination, +1 Allure of Darkness, +1 Monster Reincarnation,

-1 Call of the Haunted, -1 Dust Tornado, -1 Negate Attack, +2 Dark Illusion, +2 Escape from the Dark Dimension, +1 Ceasefire,

Final Count at 45, one of the things Im looking for is a way to return magic to my hand or deck to replace the magicians effect if anyone has any ideas.

alright nice edits miight i suggest keeping great maju garzett in a side deck for a time when u may need it and put in 3Giant Germso you can have monsters out there for a better chance to summon CAIUS, and HA DES. Also on top of that you can get NECROFEAR out a lot faster. and dude tell me how you lined up your deck like that i have a lot of decks i would like to post but i would likeit done like that([email protected])Inygmazen 23:43, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

Good Idea

The Germs would be much more effective than the Skull Knights plus theres that Burn damage as a nice Bonus. I'll be sure to add the Garzett in the side deck for Extra muscle should he be needed also thanks. As for the Deck Line up all I did was go into edit and copy someone elses, than just switched the names and added some slots so that my deck was Displayed instead.
