Forum:Lightsworn dead starting March?

Now that we have a glimpse of the incoming Banlist, how come that LIGHTSWORN are always on the hot seat? Killing "Judgment Dragon" means killing the Lightsworn archetype! That's just tells us that Lightsworn will now be used for milling purposes of other decks instead of having a solid strategy of its own. I was stunned to know that one my ace decks will now be in disuse! How can this happen? Can anyone tell me why they hit JD? If they had put some slack about "Charge of the Light Brigade", "Lumina, Lightsworn Summoner" or even just "Honest", then I'll be convinced.

• Oh, add in "Goyo Guardian". I can't think any logical reasons why a staple synchro be forbidden nowadays.

what the hell? I think I'm just overeacting!!! Some lunatic may have added JD it that lists! Am I just hallucinating? Phew, I immediately posts my previous reaction when my brother suddenly told me my deck would never be used again because of the next banlist. Hmm, Tricked... Anyways, glad that JD haven't been HIT. Your brother might have said that due to the limiting of Honest, but I don't think that is a very hard hit, in fact it doesn't change much for them, and yes, JD wasn't hit...BassNettoHikari2...Talk to me... 14:19, February 17, 2011 (UTC)

You might be right, Resk. Though I still feel bad that Lightsworns haven't got any boost nowadays while other imbalanced deck out there are getting more stronger. They should have semi'd "Charge of the Light Brigade" to bring relief to them. Anyway, I'm a bit hasty earlier after I just dueled my brother's BW with my Lightsworn deck. Cursed those new BW cards!!! BTW, Good thing "Blackwing - Kalut the Moon Shadow" is now limited! The reason why Goyo Guardian is forbidden is because its effect doesn't have a cost. Instead Goyo's controller keeps the monster even when "Goyo Guardian" is either destroyed by battle, by effect, or removed from play. It wouldn't be forbidden if it had a cost like this (Ex. I were to destroy Stardust Dragon, then activate Goyo's effect, take control of it, and the cost would be that the Stardust Dragon's effect is negated or destroyed on my opponent's End Phase.) Just like if Dark Strike Fighter would have a cost, it wouldn't be forbidden; like its effect would be a "Once per turn effect".

Dark Strike Fighter has a cost dude, but I like the fact that you said once per turn and the fact of Goyo's effect only working for a limited amount of time, but I think that if Goyo just said take control of it during the end phase so you can't be like final attack orders, or abuse him as much, but i dont relish him negating their effect[s].
