Forum:Lord of the Tachyon Galaxy Thoughts?

At this moment we don't know much about Lord of the Tachyongalaxy, but it seems interesting, expecially the Phantom Beast Plane series. What are your thoughts on the set or other cards within the set? --Dark Ace SP (Talk) 01:15, December 18, 2012 (UTC)

So our new archetype's gimmick is now Tokens. It looks somewhat more potent and consistent than the previous set's gimmick, since Tokens don't need to be recycled or tutored. The fact that the monsters all come with innate protection, and they have a card to simply press Z or R twice to negate any opposing effect, makes the archetype look threatening on paper. The Level-boosting gimmick, on the other hand, restricts their Xyz options to only a few not-widely-used Ranks. --Gadjiltron (talk

Yep, same thoughts exactly, plus they have Scramble!! Scramble!! to get a few monsters out when needed. But the level thing is really annoying and only allows for a few unused Ranks, like 7+, which isn't too bad, but doesn't give access to the good all-rounder Rank 4 and 3 monsters. --Dark Ace SP (Talk) 02:21, December 18, 2012 (UTC)
They look pretty cool IMHO. Maybe they could even throw in Token Sundae and Number 42: Starship Galaxy Tomahawk? Gustaph Max may be usable as well. 108.196.206.15 (talk) 03:02, December 18, 2012 (UTC)

I prefer the "Burning Knucklers" released in this set. I think it's a better, more consistent FIRE archetype than the Fire Fists in Cosmo Blazer (i dislike monsters that are dependent on their S/T line-up). It's also great to see new support for the old Harpie archetype.-- TheGallisMan (talkcontribs) 05:39, December 18, 2012 (UTC)

I'm excited about the "Burning Knuckler" monsters too, as well as the much-needed support for the "Harpie" archetype that was screwed over long ago. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 05:46, December 18, 2012 (UTC)
Yep, Harpies need more support, and the new cards are just really good, plus if the translation on the new Pet Dragon Xyz stays true, Harpies just got a really good card, 2000 damage is nothing to scoff at. --Dark Ace SP (Talk) 03:06, December 19, 2012 (UTC)
So...Konami decided to give us all the Elemental Dragons at once. Not surprised though. --Dark Ace SP (Talk) 02:57, May 5, 2013 (UTC)
Fascinating. Now the TCG can experience the archetype at its full-on nastiness within a single set. --Gadjiltron (talkcontribs) 03:16, May 5, 2013 (UTC)
