Mirror of the Ice Barrier : quickplay spell card: During this turn, you can activate an appropriate effect when an opponent's card effect removes from play 1 or more of your cards from one of the following locations: ● Your hand: Select and remove from play 2 cards from your opponent's hand. ● Your side of the field: Select and remove from play 2 cards your opponent controls. ● Your Graveyard: Select and remove from play 2 cards from your opponent's Graveyard.

There not many card that remove card from the hand by you opponent. field removel: ciaus, D-prision,dark core, karma cut. this card can scew stuff up gave: someone ddcrow you removel 2 of thier.

Well, it's certainly a Side Deck card, that's for sure. It can also help against Gadget decks that use Dimensional Prison.--Akiza Izayoi 00:33, June 20, 2010 (UTC)

Listen, we ALL know what this is.
It's a big @#$%-you to Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier. Runer5h 00:34, June 20, 2010 (UTC)Runer5h

Wow. I never even thought of that.--Akiza Izayoi 00:38, June 20, 2010 (UTC)

I never even bother to look that up. Fallensilence 05:25, June 20, 2010 (UTC)

Query: Can this card's effect trigger properly if, say, Macro Cosmos, Dimensional Fissure, or any of the two Banishers are present on the opponent's side of the field, and a destroying/discarding effect is activated? --Gadjiltron 12:11, June 20, 2010 (UTC)

It should be similar to Macro vs. Dimensional Inversion. See the second ruling on Card Rulings:Dimensional Inversion. New translation makes this invalid. Falzar FZ 12:54, June 20, 2010 (UTC)

I like the card. When Trishula was released we were like "OMG, this is the end..." but now we have a card that basically gives Trishula "THE BIG FINGER".-- HHTurtle  (Talk) 17:34, June 20, 2010 (UTC)

I think in my opinion that Mirror of the Ice Barrier is pretty good if you want revenge for your remove from play cards. Fallensilence 19:14, June 20, 2010 (UTC)

Note that it only works when your opponent uses an Effect Monster's effect that starts a Chain Link to remove from play a card. It doesn't work for "Macro Cosmos". --Deus Ex Machina (Talk) 21:38, June 20, 2010 (UTC)
It doesn't say th... oh, a new translation.
"During this turn, if a card(s) is removed from play from your hand, your field, or your Graveyard by an opponent's Effect Monster's activated effect, apply the following effect(s): ● If a card(s) is removed from play from your hand, randomly remove from play 2 cards from your opponent's hand. ● If a card(s) is removed from play from your side of the field, remove from play 2 cards from your opponent's side of the field. ● If a card(s) is removed from play from your Graveyard, remove from play 2 cards from your opponent's Graveyard."

See? It only works against effect monsters. Such as...
Seriously, not since the days of Harpie's Feather Duster, Raigeki, and Dark Hole has a card been so powerful that there is another card dedicated to reversing its effects. (For the record, the counters to those cards are Gryphon Wing, Anti Raigeki, and White Hole, respectively.) Runer5h 23:44, June 20, 2010 (UTC)Runer5h

Now, the question is: Will this card see play in Side Decks to stop the mighty Trishula? I personally don't think so, since by the time this card is released, Infernity and Frog decks will have seen the sunset of their fame.--Akiza Izayoi 00:26, June 21, 2010 (UTC)

I don't think this card is even that good. Yeah it should be in side decks. Fallensilence 01:00, June 21, 2010 (UTC)

Another reason it won't be played: It would certainly be unfortunate if this is the only card in your hand when the mighty Trish enters the field.--Akiza Izayoi 01:02, June 21, 2010 (UTC)

It's not splashable after all. wow. I'm kind of surprise that we posted something like this. Fallensilence 01:06, June 21, 2010 (UTC)

Do you activate it first, leaving a lingering effect. Then whenever a card you control is removed, Mirror's lingering effect removes the opponent's card as well
or is it where you wait for the opponent to do their stuff first. Then later on, you activate this card and it counts how many has been removed that turn and do so accordingly? Falzar FZ 08:24, June 22, 2010 (UTC)

Judging by the card text that we have now it seems that it is a lingering effect that applies for the whole turn that it is activated in. However, the Japanese text hasn't been confirmed yet so this remains to be seen.-- HHTurtle  (Talk) 08:31, June 22, 2010 (UTC)

I hope that's the case, because that way, you don't need to worry about Trishula removing your Mirror. Falzar FZ 08:47, June 22, 2010 (UTC)

Well, if your opponent tries to remove your Mirror, then you can just chain it to Trishula's effect.-- HHTurtle  (Talk) 08:51, June 22, 2010 (UTC)

I was referring to the 2nd way of how the mirror works in that. If it counts what has happened at that time only, then it would be 0 cards removed by trishula. Which would be a problem. Which is why I hope it's the 1st way. Falzar FZ 09:26, June 22, 2010 (UTC)

I like the third way of how it works because it's more common. Fallensilence 18:12, June 22, 2010 (UTC)
