Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys gets nuked while you have Card of Safe Return and Prime Material Falcon out. When Nephthys revives, draw for CoSR, then discard to destroy it with PMF. Repeat every turn for extra draw power until either of the two cards on the field is gone, at which point you can just let Nephy come back and kill things.
My question is, would the above combo be any good, or too hard to pull off/easy to stop? --Hitaka 00:47, 14 June 2009 (UTC)
- Well, the obvious flaws are 4:
- You need 3 monsters as tribute fodder.
- CoSR would be destroyed after the first Standby Phase you applied the loop, so you can't repeat it, as you said.
- CoSR is Limited, so you'd gain no card advantage by drawing 1 and discarding 1. You would mill through the deck and get to draw what you want, but what if you have just 1 card in hand?
- You need a card effect to destroy the Phoenix (and start the loop), and your opponent is not going to indulge you.
While this loop might let you adjust your hand, it is too costly and unreliable. You're better off trying to pull a Manticore Loop. Or at least that's what I think. --Darth Covah (Talk | Contribs) 12:40, 14 June 2009 (UTC)
