Forum:New Card to Discuss on Featured Card Article?

As title says.

Well, while we sort out the featured card issue over there, I just want to have a new featured card article right now since it's the Holidays (and Barbaros plus my article about him are not fitting in very well).

So I'd like to ask what you'd like for a featured card article next, if it's not so much. Then maybe someone can start working on one, or I could make another. Either way, I'd like a featured card article there that fits the season. That's all.

Well it hasn't been featured here, but Konami did feature on July 29th. I do think we either need to feature something from STBL or an older card, as mentioned in Forum:Featured Card issues, I do think that maybe BoM (since it can detail why we love it to newer players) or Malevent Catastrophe should be featured...BassNettoHikari2...Talk to me... 20:27, December 16, 2010 (UTC)

This may seem out of nowhere, but what about Psi-Blocker? With the release of Starstrike Blast, this an overlooked card with much potential. Since many decks these days rely on a specific card, you can use its effect to call that card repeatedly, effectively slowing their deck down. Need to Special Summon? Call Royal Oppression and summon away. Locked down by Swords? Call it and attack freely. When your opponent passes with an empty field and that famous smirk that means they have Gorz, call it and attack at will. Go up against GK's and call Necrovalley to open up your Graveyard and eliminate their ATK boost, or Gravekeeper's Recruiter and shut them down. It effectively cripples Scraps by blocking their precious Scrap Chimera and Scrap Dragon. Call out Dandylion, Lonefire Blossom, Debris Dragon, or Quickdraw Synchron and shut down Quickdraw decks. Call a Gadget and interrupt Machina Gadgets' flow, or Machina Fortress and block their best monster. Speaking of Machina Gadgets, this card techs perfectly with them and returns them to a control-based style. You're already running a bunch of one for one cards to protect your weak monsters, so this is a perfect fit. You can even use it to prevent getting Chimeratech'd. Psi-Blocker is a highly overlooked card with ridiculous potential, and worthy of being the next featured card. After all, we use it to show people the potential of weaker cards, right? I don't really believe it will matter if konami has already covered it. We wont be ahead of konami with anything, so there isn't any reason to compete with them over featuring cards. If we dont plagiarize, I don't see what the problem in featuring an already "konami featured" card would be. I don't check the konami page too much, but even if i did, I would much rather prefer seeing cards repeated on this site than staring at Beast King Barbaros all the time. I suggest Snowman Eater or Book of Moon. They have lots of potential and would probably be fun to write about.Trak0don (talk • contribs) 21:20, December 17, 2010 (UTC)

Any article that dosen't say Vampire genesis is a popular card is a good one. Actually ive seen worse articles on other sites but yugioh wiki can do better than that. I'd like to see articles about key cards in new decks like the roanintoadin one. Like a few weeks ago grave keeper recruiter wouldve been good. I didnt like reading about plasma at all and how its good is jinzo/horus locks or how barbaros is good. Who ever wrote it didnt say much around what the card does and not what decks the card could work or practical strategys

Back to the New Featured Card, I'd wanna use Snowman Eater for the next featured card.

BUT that doesn't mean I'm overlooking the other suggestions. The reason why I wanna use that card is because it fits the winter season nicely.

I'd like to further talk about some of the other cards discussed here in another time. But until then, I'll be trying to get the next article up.
