Forum:No. 13 the Key of Destiny

I don't know what gotten me to think this, but I though that Roxas should have a deck in his honor. To start, there should be a deck with a strategy similar to Roxas' strategy in battle; His overall strategy is attack fast and attack hard. He uses speed to overwhelm his opponents and uses brute force to overpower his opponents. He has command over the samurai nobodies, and with that you would think that he should use a Six Samurai deck. However, he is hardly ever seen with them, so I am ruling out the samurai. The element he controls is Light, and that opens a door to a lot of possibilities. First I would like suggestions for an Archetype and/or series that has a strategy similar to his, then we can commence the deck construction. Thanks if you can help. --I may not be perfect, but thats who I am. (talkcontribs) 23:25, May 13, 2014 (UTC)

You're in the wrong place for custom cards, pal. --Gadjiltron (talkcontribs) 23:37, May 13, 2014 (UTC)

Ugh, I saw NO 13 and thought it was something important, and its just KH nonsense.....F8lfire (talkcontribs) 00:08, May 14, 2014 (UTC)

I am trying to construct a deck using REAL Yu-Gi-oh cards, not made up cards. So unless you can suggest a REAL Yu-Gi-oh arch-type or series, please don't comment until I am open for card suggestions when getting ready to start construction. Thanks if you can help. --I may not be perfect, but thats who I am. (talkcontribs) 14:51, May 14, 2014 (UTC)

Light Archetypes that can hit fast and hard are Lightsworns and Cyber Dragons. - BronzeJohnson (talkcontribs) 15:13, May 14, 2014 (UTC)

Lightsworns seem to fit the bill. I will obviously want to add Judgement Dragon because of it's power, so I think about 1-2 of him would be plenty.

No. 13, the Key of Destiny

Any Ideas on what else to put in? I still want to focus on 'attack fast and attack hard'. Thanks if you can help. --I may not be perfect, but thats who I am. (talkcontribs) 21:13, May 14, 2014 (UTC)

Suggestions for a Lightsworn Deck:

- BronzeJohnson (talkcontribs) 11:04, May 15, 2014 (UTC)

Ok, I am using my best judgement based on the card effects:

I honestly don't know what from Lightray I should add, and I was wondering if I should add in a few more support cards for the Light attribute. Thanks if you can help. --I may not be perfect, but thats who I am. (talkcontribs) 21:01, May 15, 2014 (UTC)

So the topic of discussion went from "deck base on KH character", to give me the most generic and overused light deck possible?F8lfire (talkcontribs) 23:52, May 15, 2014 (UTC)

I am going for a Light deck with a strategy that is most similar to Roxas' fighting style, so overall ya. Unless you have an idea that is better. --I may not be perfect, but thats who I am. (talkcontribs) 01:24, May 16, 2014 (UTC)

Anyone else know what I should add? --I may not be perfect, but thats who I am. (talkcontribs) 22:53, May 18, 2014 (UTC)

I am about ready to abandon this page and create a new one. I still need help with this deck, yet there is no help. --I may not be perfect, but thats who I am. (talkcontribs) 23:59, May 21, 2014 (UTC)

The issue here is that the Deck's desired aim is just incredibly broad. There are several archetypes to choose from that can beat face quickly, and ultimately they don't really boil down to being a good adaptation of dual-wielding Roxas. You could go with anything and everything that has multiple attacks, but then it creates consistency issues. --Gadjiltron (talkcontribs) 01:33, May 22, 2014 (UTC)

You saying something like, I don't know, Tellaknights could also work or something? --I may not be perfect, but thats who I am. (talkcontribs) 03:13, May 23, 2014 (UTC)

Wait, how many archetypes and/or series have Light-attributed Warrior monsters, even if it's most and not all of them? --I may not be perfect, but thats who I am. (talkcontribs) 03:27, May 23, 2014 (UTC)

Now sure if I should start over or continue. I have come down to three Archetypes: Lightsworn, Tellaknight, and Noble Knight. Which would best fit the strategy of "hit fast and hit hard"? --I may not be perfect, but thats who I am. (talkcontribs) 01:55, May 24, 2014 (UTC)

Honestly, I would suggest you to try all of them and then choose the one that appeals the most to you. --BronzeJohnson (talkcontribs) 06:49, May 24, 2014 (UTC)

Out of curiosity, who would win if Nobles were to battle Tellas? To be more specific, I would like to know from both pure deck and max potential. --I may not be perfect, but thats who I am. (talkcontribs) 14:41, May 26, 2014 (UTC)

I have recently tested all three archetypes, I seem to like the play of Noble Knights. Now that I have an archetype, could you help be construct the deck? Thanks if you can help. --I may not be perfect, but thats who I am. (talkcontribs) 00:19, June 1, 2014 (UTC)

I never played Noble Knights, but these cards should (according to a friend of mine) be included in a Noble Knight Deck:

Monsters

-optional-

Spells

Hope this helps. --BronzeJohnson (talkcontribs) 11:34, June 1, 2014 (UTC)

Well, it's a start.

I know what the use of rescue + Artorigus is, but I don't know if I should or shouldn't add them. What else should I add? --I may not be perfect, but thats who I am. (talkcontribs) 21:47, June 1, 2014 (UTC)

You can take a look [[1]] there and [[2]] there for 2 decklists that could help you with your deck. They're the most recent ones around so they might be able to help pick some choices. Of course you can add your own flare to it too. 1-2 Soul Charge might not be a bad idea, the same with 1-2 Wiretap. Kuribandit could be an option as well, it'll help thin down the deck and pick out a Spell/Trap that could help and if need be Breakthrough Skill could become a viable option, since you can use it on your own turn from the grave. Hastydemon2 (talkcontribs) 22:21, June 1, 2014 (UTC)

Using the information provided, I was able to have this done:

I still think there could be improvement before I go to test this deck, and last suggestions untill further notice? --I may not be perfect, but thats who I am. (talkcontribs) 23:25, June 2, 2014 (UTC)

I'm not really sure what Number 73 is doing in the Extra Deck since you need 2 Level 5 WATER monsters. Other than that Upstart Goblin is best ran in multiples, a single copy does you close to no good. You can change it for another Kaiser or vice versa, changing Kaiser for another Upstart (personal preference really, you can change what you want). And another personal change would be Wiretap in place of Dark Bribe, it's generally better not to give the opponent a +1, or worse a +2 if they're playing Artifacts (negating their Sanctum would do that). Hastydemon2 (talkcontribs) 03:08, June 3, 2014 (UTC)
Having run NK for a while, I can honestly say that Release Restraint Wave is epic, while it might backfire if you play against Artifacts, it's generally a good side deck card. --Dark Ace SP (Talk) 03:41, June 3, 2014 (UTC)

I just realized I did something wrong in the spells, and I'll take you on that change. Also, now that you mention it, I forgot about the WATER only part.

Any other suggestions before I test it, if any? --I may not be perfect, but thats who I am. (talkcontribs) 03:19, June 4, 2014 (UTC)

I just tested the deck; it's almost flawless! Thanks to all who help construct this deck in honor of No. 13; Roxas, the Key of Destiny. --I may not be perfect, but thats who I am. (talkcontribs) 03:13, June 5, 2014 (UTC)
