I have a couple questions about phantom of chaos and it's effects. My first question involves phantom of chaos' effect that reduces battle damage to '0' , plus the use of an equipped card rod of the minds eye...
if I understand this correctly from tips and rulings I read on phantom of chaos ... it would mean that even if I attack directly with phantom of chaos vs my opponent's life points...and have the rod of the mind's eye equipped at that time... any damage my phantom would do as a monster is reduced to '0' + '1000' from the equipped rod of the minds eye... am I correct about this?
my next question involving phantoms effect is this... if I attack with phantom of chaos directly or even over an opponent's monster ( if the one I took for thier effects and atk etc is bigger than opponent's monster ) the damage is reduced to '0' ( even after I have killed thier monster ) so my question is if it is '0' it is still considered a number of points to reduce my opponent's life points by isn't it? even though there is no actually change it is still considered to have done damage isn't it? I ask this because of a tip I read here about this effect in phantom's page on wikia... it stated "(remember, the effect of Phantom of Chaos says that the battle damage it inflicts is 0, not that it does not inflict battle damage at all)." so am I correct that if I took over say ... 'hino-kagu-tsuchi' and did manage to attack directly or even kill a monster ... that even though the damage went to '0' it is still considered damage done? and get hino's effect to go off?

- 1) If Phantom of Chaos, equipped with Rod of the Mind's Eye, attacks directly, the damage it inflicts becomes 0, which means it doesn't inflict any Battle Damage. So the effect of Rod of the Mind's Eye isn't apply.
- 2) If Hino-Kagu-Tsuchi doesn't inflict any Battle Damage damage (0), it's effect isn't activated for the same reason.
