Forum:Question about unifrog and batteryman...

From Yugipedia

1st question: If for example I direct attack my opponent using my unifrog then he activated waboku, if i have another frog in the field, may I still destroy 1 magic/trap card my opponent control even though he didn't take any battle damage?

2nd question: if for example I flip summon Batteryman Micro-Cell during turn 3 then he was destroyed during turn 4, will I still be able to activate the his effect of drawing 1 card? or that effect will only happen at the turn he was flip.

lastly, is Fuel Cell Batteryman counted as batteryman monster? So can I activate short circuit if I have 3 Fuel Cell Batteryman on the field?

That's all, thanks in advance :)Ctoaon 14:30, March 27, 2010 (UTC)

1) ruling for spirit reaper:

  • "Spirit Reaper" only forces your opponent to discard when "Spirit Reaper" attacks directly (such as when your opponent has no monsters on the field), AND when it inflicts at least 1 point of damage to the opponent’s Life Points. So if your opponent uses "Kuriboh", "Waboku", or "Tornado Wall" to prevent the damage, "Spirit Reaper" does not force the opponent to discard.

it is the same for unifrog and his effect, you can't destroy without dealing damage.

2) The effect of micro cell says "after it is flipped face up". And this "after flipped" is applied the whole time it is on the field, it doesn't matter when it is destroyed.

3) Yes, it has "batteryman" in its name, so it is a batteryman monster. If it wouldn't count as one cards specifically state that this monster wouldn't count. (E.G. in various frog effects it is stated "except frog he jam" so he doesn't count as one with those effects) -dest- 16:08, March 27, 2010 (UTC)

"except frog the jam"

due to the japanese spelling, "frog the jam" does not belong to the Frog archetype 96.10.72.82 22:23, May 3, 2010 (UTC)

Neither does Harpie's Brother belong to the Harpies. In Japan his name is Birdman I think. --LordGeovanni 16:22, May 4, 2010 (UTC)
