Forum:Questions Regarding MST

Ok, having problems understanding when Mystical Space Typhoon works and when it doesn't.

1. Say I make an attack and my opponent activates Magic Cylinder, can I then activate MST and destroy Magic Cylinder before it ever activates? Or will Magic Cylinder still activate?

2. Say I activate Wall of Revealing Light, my opponent chains and activates MST to destroy it, I then chain it with my own MST. Will Wall of Revealing Light be destroyed or not? RayRey 22:56, 20 July 2008 (UTC)

Mystical Space Typhoon Answer

Right so if you attack and your opponent activates magic cylinder or sakuretsu armour or waboku or threatening roar and then you activate MST to destroy the magic cylinder or sakuretsu... well the magic cylinder and sakuretsu will still be activated and mystical space typhoon cant do anything to stop the magic cylinder you would need a trap jammer, dark bribe or solemn judgment.

however if your friends activates MST on your wall of revealing light and then you actiavte MST your MST CANNOT do anything to stop your opponents MST you will either need magic jammer, dark bribe or solemn judgment

However if you activate your MST before they activate magic cylinder or sakuretsu then it will work but if you MST a waboku or threatening roar they can still activate it as a chain link so your MST will be wasted :)

Chain Link Activating:

Some spell/trap cards can be still activated when mystical space typhoon or dark magic attack or heavy storm are activated. For example waboku and threatening roar and spell cards with a lightning bolt next to them can still be activated when destroyed

so basically if the trap cards say TRAP CARD

just trap card only nothing next to the trap card name then you can activate it when its destroyed :)

and spell with a lightning bolt next to the "SPELL CARD" name can be activated, cards like book of moon or MST itself when its destroyed by another MST or by a heavy storm you cant MST the other MST but u can MST something else on the field :)

not to confuse you or anything but you can use mst to stop the effcts of Continuos Trap and Spell Cards.

If you attack and your opponent Activates Wall of revealing light you can MST it and your attack will still go through because a continuous trap card has to be on the field for its effect to resolve.

The same thing with Royal Oppression or Future fusion if you chain MST to them than they do not get there effects because they must be on the field to resolve properly.
