I'll try to simulate the other requests' layout here, to facilitate navigation:
I would like to request a bot flag for an account I have yet to create. I'll only create it if it's fine by you, guys.
What would be your opinion on this?
I would use AWB. I've been using it in a semi-automated way to rename stuff or update/remove parameters.
I have read the AWB manual and I can say I feel confident about using the bot. I've also read Help:Bots and Help:Using AutoWikiBrowser. I really don't want to mess things up.
I know I have to make clear on the bot's user page that said account is a bot account and I am its operator. I'm also aware I should tag it with Category:Bots.
Oh and I know a bit of regex. Still have a lot to learn, though.
Why am I requesting a bot flag? There are several stuff I would like to clean/correct that would be really tedious even in semi-automated mode. Like replacing all the instances of "Dragodeus" into "Dragodies", or removing those erroneous non-English DR04 entries, or renaming the manga promos pages.
I'm aware SnorlaxMonster has a bot (so do other of you, but not as active, I guess), but I think having another bot around could be useful.
- Sounds fine to me. Becasita's been helpful around here. Sanokal K-T (talk • contribs) 23:06, April 16, 2016 (UTC)
- I'm okay with this. If there are no objections, just let us know the account name and I can add the flag. -- Deltaneos (talk) 16:16, July 22, 2016 (UTC)
- Alright, thank you. I'll just leave this here for a while, to see if anyone has something more to say. Becasita Pendulum (talk • contribs) 16:21, July 22, 2016 (UTC)
- Decide to go ahead and create one, since there are tons of names to be updated already. The account is Special:Contributions/BecaBot. Becasita Pendulum (talk • contribs) 13:57, July 23, 2016 (UTC)
