Forum:SIXTH SENSE LIMITED???

Jump to: navigation, search

The TCG banlist is getting an update on October 11th (see this), but among those cards I noticed that Sixth Sense is going to be printed for the TCG but it will be legal at 1. Is this serious? Will they actually let a card as broken as Sixth Sense be legal for play in the TCG?? If this is real, I'm out. Seriously, I'm just out if Sixth Sense is legal. (Sorry if I'm shouting or anything, but seriously...that sh!ts f**ked up). Ninety-eight (talkcontribs) 18:25, October 4, 2013 (UTC)

It's legal for 2 months, and that's probably it. --Dark Ace SP (Talk) 22:32, October 4, 2013 (UTC)

Boy, it's going to be a doozy of 2 months. I'll just head back to playing OCG now... --Gadjiltron (talkcontribs) 02:11, October 5, 2013 (UTC)

Lol derp. That card's bad, but...with Sixth Sense it might be....nah no one's going to run that card. Ninety-eight (talkcontribs) 02:54, October 5, 2013 (UTC)

I'm just as surprised by this as anyone else, though I'm sure it'll get banned by the next list.

Also, why didn't they also add Card of Last Will? --Moja619 (talkcontribs) 03:01, October 5, 2013 (UTC)

Sixth Sense is perfectly fine at 1. It's a 1 in 3 chance of getting the designated number. You either add to your hand or take away from your deck. Sure a deck or two might be able to neutralize the negative part of the card's effect but you could lose key components you needed to win. --MasterMarik (talkcontribs) 11:59, October 5, 2013 (UTC)

Call 5 and 6. Results? Either an amazing draw, or near-negligible mill. Ultimately, it boils down to "roll a die, thin your Deck by the roll result." --Gadjiltron (talkcontribs) 13:44, October 5, 2013 (UTC)

I think I've found my new Staple. And, unlike other staples, I don't own a single deck I won't be running this in. Battlemaniac (talkcontribs) 13:47, October 5, 2013 (UTC)

Meh just a new staple... Of all the "broken" cards this really doesn't strike me as the thing people would get upset about... Dragon Rulers took long enough... never-mind things no one seems to have ever or will ever care about *cough*Dark Hole, Heavy Storm, Monster Reborn*cough*... I mean 1/3 chance for +4 vs 2/3 chance for -2 imho... --slave(command) 13:56, October 5, 2013 (UTC)

Actually, I want to see Dark Hole gone as well, but if it's a choice, I'd keep it Limited over Sixth Sense any day. Battlemaniac (talkcontribs) 19:39, October 5, 2013 (UTC)

This is just another way in which Yugioh has gone downhill this year. From a broken archetype which still hasn't gone away, splitting the formats even further apart just when it seemed they were going to finally be combined (this includes telling the OCGs players they can only use cards from their own regions, the amount of players they lost from this decision was quite big) and now unbanning a card so broken not only was it E-banned after only a week of being out in the OCG, it was broken enough that it never saw a TCG release. As for peeps saying it's not broken, this will be put in Lightsworn decks and it will be an instant win card for them, as they either get a mill of 6 or they draw 6. *sigh* I'm just about done with Yugioh for the time being.--The FireFALL (talkcontribs) 07:46, October 9, 2013 (UTC)

Eh I thought there was already something about some Lightsworn cards or other were being banned? *checks list again* Oh. Oh dear. That was to much of a logical assumption for this game. Oh well they could just break all the archetypes thus making them all fair cause equally OP is not OP, thus just a fight to who decides who goes first >.> Otherwise which broken archetype where you referring to? ;)
And, yep the game is broken now. --slave(commandworks) 08:43, October 9, 2013 (UTC)
Everyone is gonna use it anyway.. So, the game won't be as broken as it seems, just because everyone will use the same thing. And that will last for about two months.. until a new banlist, that it is to say. HPZ - O.N.E. (talkcontribs) 08:52, October 9, 2013 (UTC)
FireFall, did you actually read the effect of Sense? You either draw 6 or mill a number of cards from 1-6, it's not guaranteed that you'll mill 6. --Dark Ace SP (Talk) 13:07, October 9, 2013 (UTC)
It's basically either draw 5-6 or mill 1-4, because everyone that uses Sixth Sense will always call 5 and 6 for maximum effect. Both of the effects of it are broken, either refill your entire hand or set up your graveyard, I can't believe this is going to be legal...not only will this be a certain win-button for Lightsworns, Chaos Dragons, and Dragon Rulers, but it can be used in just about any deck just for that chance to win. The rest of the format is just going to be a race to see who can draw into this f**ked up trap card first, and whoever draws it first will win. If this card isn't banned in January (or E-Banned beforehand), I (and probably many other TCG players) are going to quit the game...Ninety-eight (talkcontribs) 15:46, October 9, 2013 (UTC)
Heh, watch them not ban it till a year from now… NMBRHNTR64 (talkcontribs) 15:55, October 9, 2013 (UTC)
ninety-eight, didnt you ragequit back on the TCG banlist split??

though i agree, this is a instant "incoming win in 5 seconds" card, drawing a godamn new hand for no real risk is to OP to ever see the light of day....but then again they said the same about BLS coming back, i dont see many people complaining about that anymore. its broken as fuck, its gonna be here for atleast 2 months, nothing you can do about it, why complain and threaten ragequit. hell i think they are intentionally doing this for shits and giggles since things will change in another 2 months anywayDreadKaiser (talkcontribs) 16:10, October 9, 2013 (UTC)

hell if thats the case, someone should tell them to unban Yata, time seal and the b& jars for the next 2 months. that would be fun.DreadKaiser (talkcontribs) 16:13, October 9, 2013 (UTC)

I'm still upset at the TCG banlist and I was hoping the TCG and OCG would agree to merge their lists somehow, but noooo, the TCG has to let this be legal for the rest of this (already bad) format. Temple of the Kings was banned on release in the TCG back in September 2011 due to being an absurdly broken card, why couldn't that happen with Sixth Sense? And they don't unban cards for sh!ts and giggles, it's for money, which is the whole point behind it...and a few months later it gets banned. Ninety-eight (talkcontribs) 17:27, October 9, 2013 (UTC)

There ya go, (though i would have done it for laughs). now people will just have another reason to run Royal decrees and other Anti-traps cards, this thing is only game making if it goes through after all.DreadKaiser (talkcontribs) 18:34, October 9, 2013 (UTC)

Konami seem to want to make this game unplayable for everyone but the few who enjoy mindlessly tedious games. This is just another step forward in that direction. I honestly can't believe they'd do something so stupid, but hey, Dragon Rulers and Spellbook of Judgment happened. This card may only have a 1 in 3 chance of success, but it's yet another tool players can use to luck out of situations (cause Yu-Gi-Oh! doesn't have enough luck in it already, right?) and the icing on the cake is that a couple of the most sacky decks in the game (Lightsworn and Chaos Drags) can even use the "negative effect" to their advantage.--YamiWheeler (talkcontribs) 18:50, October 9, 2013 (UTC)

Honestly this, just this^... +1 --slave(commandworks) 21:40, October 9, 2013 (UTC)
There's not a single deck in the meta that won't use this card when it's officially legal for the TCG in a day (UTC time). Every deck out there would use it, not just Lightsworns, Rulers, and C-Drags. Examples...
  • Wind-Ups? Why not? They either draw a new hand or set up their grave with Warriors or Sharks.
  • Inzektors? Either draw a new hand or mill your Hornet or Giga Mantis.
  • Chaos Drags/Lightsworns/D-Rulers? Either you fill your hand or mill dragons for grave setup. Oh and, Rulers have another win-button trap card on top of this (Return from the Different Dimension).
  • Constellars? They lose no advantage by milling, since that is good for Sombres setup, not to mention the chance of a new hand.
  • Evilswarms? Same as Constellars, but for Kerykeion.
  • Mermails? New hand or set up grave for Gundes or Abyss-squall.
  • Fire Fists? New hand or grave setup for Wolfbark/Spirit.
  • Blackwings? New hand or setup for Blizzard next turn.
  • Zombies? New hand or mill Mezuki's/Plaguespreader's/Mali's.
  • Infernities? Meh, the new hand might be cloggy but the mills are good setup, especially Stygians.

The card's not only broken as hell, it's also insanely splashable. Everyone will run it when it comes back, because both of the effects are godly for any deck.(meh, made some errors in formatting) Ninety-eight (talkcontribs) 01:28, October 10, 2013 (UTC)
