Forum:Skull Servants =D

Needs:

+Consistency

+Defense

(I think. I've heard traps can be avoided if the deck otherwise runs with amazing synergy, which is my goal. =) )

The point is to send as many Skull Servants and Lady In Wights to the graveyard to supercharge the King of the Skull Servants.

What's cool is that I can sometimes leave a weak King on the field, and use Burial from a D.D. when the opponent declares an attack. Mwuahahaha!

I used to have Chain Disappearance, but read it more closely and saw it only affects the opponent's deck. >.<

I thought of using Chain Destruction, it's garbage, especially compared to what I thought Chain Disappearance did.

I really like the RFP aspect since, off the top of my head, it gives this deck the option of going Macro and having a field nuke card; Grand Convergence! =D That's what I'd like to modify this deck into, but zombies aren't usually friendly with Macro. =(

I also like the fact that I can mess with my opponent's strategy via Dragged Down Into The Grave + Mind Crush. ^.^

What makes me sad is I don't know how this would hold up with Synchros on the rise. =(

Had I come up with this a format earlier...

So! Ideas?! =D Eminentjonfrost 11:48, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

  • Your idea of using remove-from-play options strays from the synergy you seek in this deck; Skull Servants seek dominance in the Graveyard, and that is where they find their speed. Although you may be owned by Necrovalley Gravekeepers, Skull Servants can probably outdo them quickly enough if you focus on what your King prefers. Chris427 18:12, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

Ok, so no Macro, but see anyways to improve it? =D Eminentjonfrost 19:41, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

I toyed around some more, and some cards my friend has suddenly came to mind, and made some small adjustments. :)

- Lightning Vortex

- Dragged Down Into The Grave

- Mind Crush

- Dark World Lightning

+ 3 Dark World Dealings

+ 1 Card of Safe Return

+ 1 Hand Destruction

Anyone care to share thoughts? =)

Stall?

Not sure if this counts as defense, but it'll defiantly stall your opponents with 1 Gravity Bind and 1 Level Limit - Area B. Since your King of the Skull Servants are level 1, they won't be interfered. Swords of Revealing Light of course will stall, but only for 3 turns. I'm not sure if this style will work for you (it does stop your Zombie Masters/Mezuki and The Tricky from attacking (along with your opponent, during which you discard your Skull Servants and The Lady in Wight). One thing bugs me though, how will you prevent attacks before your King is powered up? Dragonmaster69 01:36, 31 August 2008 (UTC)

That's what I'm trying to solve. Occasionally, however, this deck works so fast that that isn't a problem. =)

Proxy it and see =) Doesn't happen as often as I'd like, but getting a King on the field with 2-3000 attack on the first turn is quite possible.

I keep going back and forth about Veil of Darkness though... not sure if it should be taken out for Dark World Lightning and Lightning Vortex for more field control.

[edit] WHOA! Hold on here... I thought Hand Destruction was semi limited... =D

Veil of Darkness problem solved... replace them both with another Hand Destruction and another Dark World Dealings. Eminentjonfrost 02:29, 31 August 2008 (UTC)

Took 1 Book of Life out for another Mezuki. Makes Burial more useful + is just better cause it can be discarded... Eminentjonfrost 22:39, 3 September 2008 (UTC)

  • hmm, looking over the list, you dont seem to be trap reliant...at all...try running royal decree?Dragonmaster69 04:50, 4 September 2008 (UTC)

Royal Decree sounds... ok, but the only thing I can think of taking out for it is... Solemn. =/

Stop all traps, for as long as it's on the field, and for no cost... but it's SOLEMN! Stop ANYTHING! lol

PEEERRHAAAPPPS, take out Heavy Storm/Mystical Space Typhoon for Royal Decree... sounds crazy to me though.

I can't think of anything to really take out for it. =( Anything that comes to mind slows the deck down... and it still needs more speed. (Well, insurance so that it always get it's speed) Eminentjonfrost 22:44, 4 September 2008 (UTC)

Ok, I've gone digging in my stash and found some cards Dragonmaster69 suggested, and some more I thought that could be useful.

  • Dark Dust Spirit - clears the field, great for aggro decks, which I believe this is =) Plus can be handy to clear the field of unwanted Ladies and Skull Servants which sometimes get there due to lack of options. >.<
  • Gravekeeper's Guard - Likely to survive an attack and helps clear the opponent's field, and is dark. =)
  • Rivalry of Warlords - All zombies (I took out The Tricky in my last build), conflicts with adding Gravekeeper's Guard though.
  • Trap Jammer - Great for aggro themes, I believe because aggro decks shine in the battle phase, no?
  • Gravity Bind & Level Limit Area B - So my Kings are the strongest attackers on the field. =D
  • Shift - + Lady in Wight + a charged King... = Awesome wall? =D
  • Opti-Camouflage Armor - Let the Kings hit directly! =D
  • Nobleman of Crossout & Lightning Vortex - I keep reconsidering these two...
  • Swords of Revealing Light - As speedy as I try to make this deck, there are times I wish this were in my hand, but then again, what deck doesn't have that problem every now and then?

Pretty good, but try adding a Shadow Ghoul, if all hope doesn't go as planned for your King of Skull Servant, you have a back-up monster that powers up for monster's in your graveyard.
