Post Under Construction...

I'll put the deck here later. It's X-Mas and I'm feeling lazy!

In the meantime...

I've checked the page for Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode. Are there other strategies or ways to get rid of my "new toy" that I need to be aware of?

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Yeah, since you send Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode to the grave when you use its negation effect, your opponent can remove it using Soul Release, then you can't summon it back.--Skyhawk01 (talkcontribs) 16:41, December 25, 2010 (UTC)

Mask of Restrict is what I side against it, stops you using Assault Mode Activate, or if it's out, using its effect,-Resk (talkcontribs) 20:28, December 25, 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for the Feedback & Here is the Deck...

The ways of getting out Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode in this deck should be obvious...

1) Summon a Cyber Dragon or The Tricky, then summon a 3 star Tuner.
Hopefully I already have the trap I need! If not... I can use Assault Beast.

2) Use Instant Fusion with a 3 star Tuner.

3) Get 5 stars on the field with the Treeborn Frog and the Arcane Apprentice!
This works well as I can also set Assault Mode Activate on the same turn.

Here are some card choices I am not sure about:

Assault Teleport: It is good draw power. But, it is situational. Also, if I draw
Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode with it, then I gain nothing.

Cyber Valley: I do love draw power... it always seems to help a deck flow better.
But, is this a waste of card space? Do I have enough draw power already? What could
I replace these 2 cards with?

Assault Counter: I put 1 in for "fun". Is it too much since Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode
already does the job of countering "stuff"? Or, is it a good way to hold the field once I have
the monster in place? That way, I can keep the monster where it is. If the trap should go...
What should be used instead?

Scapegoat: 4 monsters zones used and only 4 stars? Hmm... not good enough?
Is Swords of Revealing Light a better idea in it's place? Of course with
Treeborn Frog, I want the back-row empty! So, what to do?

Divine Wrath: Is this needed? Can my Big Monster
really stop cards like Blackwing - Kalut the Moon Shadow and Honest from
killing itself in battle? Can it's effect be used during battle? For that matter....
can my monster stop effects like D.D. Warrior Lady or Legendary Jujitsu Master?

Assault Mercenary: Death to spells and traps! But, are there better ways to destroy
continuous spells and traps with this deck? Or is this monster really a good idea?

Thanks in advance for all your wonderful help and feedback with my new deck.
I play my younger brother and sister with it and I don't want to cheat.
If the monster is not as strong as it seems to be, I want to be sure of what it can and can not counter.
Of course, I also want the deck to flow well and summon my new monster as fast as possible!
My little brother got Blackwing stuff from me for X-Mas and I think he still needs to learn
how to play better. At least, I can offer him some real competition with my new deck!
Thanks again and Happy Holidays to all!

Would still like feedback, thanks. AceCloudKicker (talkcontribs) 12:00, December 28, 2010 (UTC)

You really don't need 3 SDAMs, they are really bad draws, even if you can get rid of it through GGH, drop them to two, you can also drop a AMA for another Assault Beast, cause it can act as a beatstick if need be. Scapegoat is not needed, neither is Assault Counter, too situational. Assault Mercenary can be replaced with a second [[Mystical Space Typhoon|MST}}. If your worried about Draw Power, Reckless Greed can always do a good, that combined with GGH, and you got some good draw power there, you can scrap Scapegoat, Assault Counter, and the third SDAM... BTW SDAM can stop DD Warrior Lady and LJM. Have you considered the Flamvell Engine in this deck, it works wonders to get out SDAM, it works with Flamvell Firedog, Flamvell Magician, and Rekindling, easy Stardust. You can get rid of Treeborn, One for One (you don't have many targets anyway), the Cyber Valleys (as with Greed and GGH, drawing is easy), the Arcane Apprentices (effect is nice, but you already have 5/40 chance to get AMA), and the Assault Teleports (really bad card, GGH does it for you and then some...), and drop in 3 Flamvell Firedogs, 3 Flamvell Magicians, and 2 Rekindlings this will also give you more Synchro opportunities (easy 8's and 7's. . Foolish isn't needed, since nothing really works for you in the Grave, so get a Monster Reborn. Divine wrath is fine in there. You should side in some Imperial Iron Walls, so in game 2 & 3, they're D.D. Crows can't hurt you. BTW, do even have an extra deck? You should have 2-3 Stardusts, staple Synchros, and Darkfire Dragons and Ojama Knight to use with Instant Fusion. All these suggestions should give ample boost to your deck, trust me I know, I also run SDAM (look at my page and take a look if you want to see my take...)...BassNettoHikari2...Talk to me... 05:55, December 29, 2010 (UTC)

A More Traditional Take on This Deck

I see how this deck works, but I dont think it s the most efficent way to get out SDAM. Your build seems somewhat inconsistent, and my build may be easier to use. It's located on my page, and focuses more on dark monsters and tends to get out Stardust Assault mode much quicker than you would, as you are very dependent on just a few cards to synch for Stardust. • Thank you both for the great feedback!

The Flamvell "Engine" does look great! Thanks especially to: BassNettoHikari2 for all the great ideas. CardGamesFTW, I checked out your build... it really does look fast! Solemn in a Can, indeed

Thanks again! 12.75.117.181 (talk) 12:39, December 31, 2010 (UTC) AceCloudKicker

Hey no problem, the Flamvell engine is a great way to get out SDAM, I just showed it to you. enjoy the thrill of SDAM, as a SDAM player myself (it is my Main Deck as soon as I get all the cards), have fun with it!...BassNettoHikari2...Talk to me... 14:15, December 31, 2010 (UTC)
