Forum:The power of "Wave-Motion Cannon"?

I was wondering about the power of Wave-Motion Cannon as it states you 'can' remove this card during your Main Phase and it is continues are you allowed to keep this on the field as long as you want till you wish to remove it. i.e. leave it on the field say, three turns after activation (three stand by phases) remove it then inflict 3,000 damage. I ask this as I use it in my deck and when I duel people they always complain that it is too strong and I am wrong, I am not sure if I am wrong or not. thank you for reading

  • You're allowed to keep it on the field as long as you want; However, you are only allowed to send it to the Graveyard during your Main Phase.--TwoTailedFox (My Talk Page) 19:25, 3 July 2008 (UTC)
  • Other than what TwoTailedFox said, that is generally how it works. I think it is a stupid card, myself. Danny Lilithborne 05:04, 4 July 2008 (UTC)

It's very good but that's why they made Prime Material Dragon and Rainbow Life. It is a good card but not broken its problem is that it takes time for it to build up counters so that gives your opponent time to ether destroy it drop your LP to 0. Which means that you have to protect Wave-Motion Cannon and your LPs or it is a wasted card. 216.101.109.210 05:16, 4 July 2008 (UTC)

Not trying to be picky, but there are no counters involved for wave motion cannon. Only number of standby phases passed. Renz0kuken 13:57, 4 July 2008 (UTC)

Which is why you play stall cards to prevent the opponent from hurting you and "Dark Bribe" etc. to protect your Cannon. Seriously, Wave Motion Cannon is one of those cards that is stupid good. The only reason it doesn't really get play is because it's junk against meta. Danny Lilithborne 14:27, 4 July 2008 (UTC)
  • Not to mention that this card is pretty good for also playing psychological games with your opponent. But, it can be a lousy topdeck. --Gadjiltron 17:38, 5 July 2008 (UTC)
