Hi all, Im thinking about building a deck featuring the Evol Archetype especially Evolzar Dolkka, Evolzar Laggia and Evolzar Soldde 1st off I dont know alot about them except what Ive seen on hea, I do know you can easly play them with the Jurrac Archetype. Any help is welcome.
OK so I think I sorta know what I want to do now but I need an easy way to protect my spells and traps and the only thing I can think of is Dark Bribe (but that gets my opponents a +1) or Prohibition. Anything Im missing?
Evol's are pretty bad at the moment, wait until there's a reptile to hand spell card similar to Fossil Dig.
But to answer your question evoljurrac's are a very monster heavy deck and need to be to get all the needed cards from both archetypes in there, my only traps in my build are Mirror Force, Trap Dustshoot and Solemn Judgement.
If you really need to protect your backrow (which should only really be Burden of the Mighty or Forbidden lance) there's always Evolzar Dolkka. 60.231.25.140 (talk) 07:45, November 24, 2011 (UTC)
well the plan is to use Level Limit & Gravity Bind then get out there big Xyz monsters seeing as there a rank not a Lv. that way i can make the best out of there built in Solem effects
Both of those cards effect your own cards making Jurrac Guaiba, Jurrac Velo and Evoltile Casineria who all rely on being in attack position and attacking (except for Velo) completely useless.
Would you mind posting your current deck list? It'd help for knowing what you can take out, what you need and such. Template:Decklist 60.231.25.140 (talk) 08:58, November 24, 2011 (UTC)
I dont realy have a deck list at moment but I do have a play set of every Jurrac and Evol (appart from the Xyz's I only have one of each of them at the minute).
What I find to be effective is to write down the deck in notepad or something like say:
Deck Number: 40
Number of Monsters: 20
Number of Spells: 12
Number of Traps: 8
(Helps keep track of the deck so it stays balanced.)
Deck Aim:
Field control, specifically with X, Y and Z cards (no pun intended).
(Helps keep focus in the deck.)
3x Evolsaur Cerato
3x Evoltile Westlo
3x Jurrac Guaiba
1x Monster Reborn
1x Dark Hole
1x Trap Dustshoot
Etc, etc.
Then tab next to each card so you have a neat and tidy row of lines to write to the side of them, then go through each card individually and think "Do I need this?" "Do I need this many?" "Could I use more?" "Does it help the deck aim?", then place -1/2/3 or +1/2 if you think you could use more or less then go from there.
You could do this or use DuelingNetwork, on DN I place 3 of every card I'm going to use then subtract from there, the Side Deck helps with cards you're thinking about but not sure of too. The only problem with this way is you can't write notes next to the cards.
Sorry if you didn't need to know this, I just think it really helps to have it written down when you're making a deck.

monster line up sofar is Evoltile Westlo x3, Evoltile Gephyro x3, Evoltile Odonto x3, Evolsaur Cerato x3, Evolsaur Diplo x3, Evolsaur Vulcano x3 and Evolsaur Pelta x1. spell line up is Evo-Karma x3, Evo-Miracle x2, Fossil Dig x3 Molten Destruction x3, Pot of Avarice x1, Card Destruction x1 and the rest are staples. traps are Evolutionary Bridge x1, Dimensional Prison x3 and the rest are staples.
•Evoltile Odonto is kind of situational, when I play I find it rare to have that + a Evolsaur in hand, maybe limit it to 2 at the most.
•Evolsaur Diplo is easilly replaced by a Mystical Space Typhoon, should only really be used at 2 max.
•Evolsaur Pelta isn't that great, but considering the kind of deck (sort of stall) it kind of fits in.
•Molten Destruction is just a no.
•Evo-Miracle is much, much too situational, not only do you have to special summon this turn but the no destruction only lasts that turn.
•Pot of Avarice isn't that needed, the deck doesn't do much sending to the grave and when it does you kind of want them there.
•Card Destruction doesn't help you much.
Try use Template:Decklist, it makes it a lot clearer when reading.
