Forum:Tour Knight?

My friend, who won't listen to a certified judge but will gladly listen to a forum of a wiki, posed a question: If I play Tour Guide From the Underworld and use her effect, am I allowed to play Kagemusha Knight? AnnoyingMacroPrick (talkcontribs) 06:14, December 15, 2012 (UTC)

Yes. --Golden Key (talkcontribs) 06:17, December 15, 2012 (UTC)

He'd like to know why. AnnoyingMacroPrick (talkcontribs) 06:18, December 15, 2012 (UTC)

My first impression here is that you can't. When "Tour Guide of the Underworld" is Normal Summoned, you can only activate its effect or the effect of "Kagemucha Knight". If you choose to use the effect of "Tour Guide", "Kagemucha Knight" will miss the timing. If the effect of "Kagemucha Knight" said the following
"If you Normal Summon a Level 3 monster: You can Special Summon this card from your hand."
then this would mean you could not miss the timing. This was handed down by Kevin Tewart himself! (See the 3rd line of text in his post, and read the few posts afterwards for confirmation). --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 06:27, December 15, 2012 (UTC)
I am doubtful on this though, because I think what I just said only applies if an action occurs in the middle of a Chain. (The Normal Summon you described does not occur in the middle of a Chain obviously) So... Still looking for other opinions out there... --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 06:30, December 15, 2012 (UTC)

Well, I have two different opinions here... AnnoyingMacroPrick (talkcontribs) 06:31, December 15, 2012 (UTC)

I don't think you're going to resolve this now, since these are the slow hours of this wikia. It will probably be resolved later today (by UTC time standards). Best to reach a compromise with your friend now, and revisit this page several hours later. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 06:37, December 15, 2012 (UTC)
  • Both effects Trigger to the same thing, a Normal Summon. So it's SEGOC.

  • So essentially, ignore everything I said (except for maybe the tip about "missing the timing")... Sorry for any confusion I caused. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 07:02, December 15, 2012 (UTC)

This is embarassing, but this kind of flew above my head. So no? AnnoyingMacroPrick (talkcontribs) 07:04, December 15, 2012 (UTC)

Their effects Chain to each other (if you choose to activate both of their effects), so you can activate their effects in any order you choose. So, yes, you are capable of activating and using both of their effects. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 07:13, December 15, 2012 (UTC)

Alright then, thanks. I was halfway right. I told him that Knight doesn't miss it's chance because nothing immediately happened after Tour Guide was summoned that didn't start a chain. Just couldn't explain the other part. Thanks! AnnoyingMacroPrick (talkcontribs) 07:24, December 15, 2012 (UTC)

Added, thank you! --iFredCat 13:47, December 15, 2012 (UTC)
