Forum:Venom deck- Help pl0x =3

Hey guys, I'm new to these forums... I've been doing Yu-Gi-Oh for 2 yrs, though. I need some feedback on this deck so far: I kind of want to keep it pure reptile/venom... But I want to put in monarchs and maybe Synchros... But Venom swamp would eat the synchros- so I'm not having them. aaanyways.

It's very much a work in progress... Any suggestions?

I have him in there so he can attach to an opponent, they get eaten by venom swamp, and then it's 1 more reptile in my grave for Ananta/vennominon. And he makes them mill their deck.

I run a Vennominaga and it used to be pure venom. 'Naga helps a lot as nothing will be able to take it out due to them being weakened by venom swamp. If you can get one Try adding Terraforming to search the swamp a bit quicker. Try running a Vengeful Bog Spirit so that any monsters that come out will lose at least 1000 atk before they can attack.

I would run a vennominaga, but they're running for 70$... So hard to get, haha! Venegeful bog spirit... sounds pretty good. I'll try it. Terraforming? Hm, what do you think of field barrier?

Monsters

I would recomend running 3 vennominons,due to his high strenght, and ease of being summoned from grave with right setup (see traps bellow), an extra cobra, due to the high def + the attack reduction on opponents monsters, when I used to run mine, found boa too hard to get out consistantly, so dropped it to 1,

Also, I would recomend sticking in some Alien Grey, as they are reptiles, add draw power, and people would expect it to be a venom cobra, could use them instead of the iron chain snakes, as while I like your concept of them, they use up a summon

Spells

for the comments on Field Barrier, if using a card like that, I would recomend Magic Reflector instead, as it doesn't take up a spell/trap space,

other spells seem fine, though you as suggesest, you may want to add 1 or 2 terraformings

Traps

first up, due to the strange ruling on Snake Whistle, it only works when the monster is destroyed by an effect, so at best, you can use it from Offering to the Snake Deity

a good trap to use however, is after tossing vennominon to the grave, would be Limit Reverse as he has 0 Atk, and for the same reason a Damage = Reptile or 2 would work well, as can summon vennominon for attacking, or venom cobra to defend as needed

Sweet! Thanks for the advice! Yeah, I'm going to add some terraformings, side in some Alien Greys, and try another vennominon. Only problem is I can't seem to get a vennominon anywhere. Any ideas of where I could get some?

Back when I ran Venoms.........

I actually packed my Vennominaga. I was VERY LUCKY from Tactical Evolution. From four packed I pulled Crystal Seer, Rainbow Dragon, Aquarian Alessa, and Vennominaga. As for the Field Barrier/Magic Reflector, why not go with 1 of each? You could even put the counter on Field Barrier, or Vengeful Bog Spirit. I would go with Offerings to the Snake Deity X2, and Damage = Reptile X1, and Limit Reverse X2, since other monsters can be summoned with it besides the king. --Akiza'sRose66 18:01, 31 July 2009 (UTC)

Back when I ran Venom

I had 2 nagas I ran(one off ebay for £5, and one I got off someguy as he no-one wanted it & i was running venom), using the limit reverse -> def -> rise of deity thing to get her out, however for the most part I found the 2 of them unrequired, venominon was strong enough to go through most things, and anyone with powerfull enough things to stop it, would have stopped naga anyway (either negate trap, or negate summon), though I'm thinking now that i could have run Trade-In, anyway. magic reflecter is better than field barrier in one way as in its self, it cannot be destroyed, while still defending, though they can still destroy it by playing another field spell i think,Resk 22:06, 31 July 2009 (UTC)
