Forum:What's March gonna bring?

So, we spend a lot of time talking and editing Forum:March 2013 Banlist Predictions, but after that, do we spend enough time talking about what we think we'll see in the format as big contenders and surprise dark horses? I don't think we spend enough time talking about this on the wiki, so what do you think you'll see over the course of the next format, and what do you plan on running? --Dark Ace SP (Talk) 03:42, February 23, 2013 (UTC)

The only things the March 2013 banlist brings is the end of the Wind-Up loop and the use of Sangan. Everything else that ruled the meta-game remained untouched or even got better because Konami decided to unban cards that support decks that don't need more support and limiting more negation. I know all that, but I'm really don't care about that. I'm more interested in what people want to run, you don't have to run meta stuff, if you have something more fun, then talk about that. Heck even, stuff you plan to side deck against decks in the March format is a conversation starter. --Dark Ace SP (Talk) 03:55, February 23, 2013 (UTC)
Dude, I run Gem Knights and Fortune Ladies. But it doesn't matter what I run, what matters is what the brainless masses who want auto-pilot decks use because a guy won a YCS with it or something. For goodness sake, most players don't know that Stardust summoned by Starlight can't be special summoned from the grave. That's just pathetic. I hear of an OTK loop involving Sylphine, the Sub-Zero Siren, Divine Wind of Mist Valley, Ancient Fairy Dragon, Ally Genex Birdman, and Genex Blastfan. Seems complicated, but I'm not yet sure of how good and consistent that would be. --Gadjiltron (talkcontribs) 10:50, February 23, 2013 (UTC)

Hmm, I think I'll play around with Hieratics and try to add some Synchros in. Really basic ones like Stardust and Black Rose as emergency bombs. For tuners? I'll probably throw in a Flamvell Guard or three and see what happens. --67.49.148.13 (talk) 00:57, February 25, 2013 (UTC)

Hmm, I think I'll be running this, at least for part of the format. The other part will be spent on Burning Knuckler. --Dark Ace SP (Talk) 03:52, February 25, 2013 (UTC)

I'm in the process of making a strong Madolche build, and its been going really well with Hootcakes. I'm also focusing on some quick xyz plays with mewfeuille and Hootcakes, and cruffsant's effect allows for a variety of rank 3 through 5's to be easily accessed. Also, Tiaramasu and Puddingcess have been the powerhouses of the deck. Overall, I'm really excited to put it up against some more of the meta (so far 1-0 against six samurai and 1-1 against Dark World)

I found it. The details of a crazy burnout FTK that, if you also happen to survive, also lands the opponent with 3000 extra LP. All it needs is Divine Wind and Harpie Dancer. Granted, it will mean running cards from 3 distinct archetypes and making the Deck a total mess if it doesn't make the FTK, but... --Gadjiltron (talkcontribs) 10:10, March 1, 2013 (UTC)

Are there any decks that are going to reappear, or possibly be created as a result of the new banlist? for instance, does allowing Lumina, Lightsworn Summoner to go to 3 revive lightsworns? ---Kungfu-mama (Talk) 23:03, March 1, 2013 (UTC)

No, they need Charge of the Light Brigade to do any real damage, but they should show up a little bit, but nothing major, and of course Blackwings will see more play, but the way their played might change just a bit. --Dark Ace SP (Talk) 22:25, March 3, 2013 (UTC)
