What makes them so special in the TCG that most of them are all of high rarity? Like Allure of Darkness and Rare Value. I understand when such is done for cards as Mirror Force and Honest cause of their power, but seriously, draw 2 cards? If you think of it, and personally, just drawing 2 cards isn't that powerful or useful. Specially when it can deck you out. Doczo 04:13, 22 April 2009 (UTC)

  • Drawing two cards can help you out if during the duel, you have nothing good to use and you need help. Also, drawing two cards makes up for the card you used and gives you an extra. As for the decking out thing, unless you're dueling a mill deck, most duels don't last long enough for a duelist to run out of cards. --Bluedog (Talk) 03:46, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
    • Well that sure explains their use, but still, don't see why to make them that rare. Short print or Limited Edition should do it, but Super Rare and Ultra Rare (and beyond) looks just odd. Specially when it does not guarantee an upper hand or big help when used. It in fact can make you draw cards that can only be of use in dhe deck and/or work better in there. Plus some of the costs needed for their use can put you in disadvantage as well.

Don't make me go into my "Pot of Greed is the greatest card in the universe" rant again xD xD xD

  • Well drawing cards can help you so much during a duel. If for example you have a draw card and you have a hand that really cannot be used, draw cards help fix that. Most of the modern day draw cards also do not get you a net gain of +1 card in your hand, pot of avarice and reckless greed are the only ones I recall, but avarice makes the deck thicker by 5 cards. Many such as allure simply replace allure and the card you removed, Trade in replaces the lvl 8 and trade in, D Draw replaces the discarded D hero and D draw. There is no net gain but replacing the cards helps you thin the deck and gets you a hand that is a little bit different. For example if somebody ran a Dark, D Hero, Dragoon deck you could possibly put trade in, allure, D draw, and maybe reckless greed. Having so much draw power allows you to nearly go through your whole deck in a turn. And not to mention putting D Hero malicious in the grave would put you at a MAJOR advantage even if its semi'ed.--Takuma. 19:29, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
