Forum:What Are Some Really Good Cards But Are Not Played Much?

Mine is Turbo Warrior it is a really good card. I love the gyzarus,Goyo, and Ryko hate this card gives off. Also Prohibtion is a good card.--Airbellum 20:03, June 2, 2010 (UTC)

What are some other cards that could work but not played much?

Hane-hane

It's an amazing bouncing stall card.

It's really common and really underplayed.

I run 2 of 'em in my beast deck.

They are also good if you are trying to thin your opponent's defenses.

plus, after flipping, you can tribute em for something new.

(For example I use it to tribute for Behemoth the King of All Animals)

hane-hane is awesome.

Bait Doll

Bait Doll is REALLY underrated. It gets around almost all of the common Traps in the game, and forces the rest to activate when the opponent doesn't want them to, and then sends itself back to the Deck to be used another day. I personally don't use Bait Doll much myself either, but the times I have, it's very helpful. And I agree that Turbo Warrior is really underrated too. I only noticed after facing a Dandywarrior build, and realised that there's not a lot you can do to it. Can't even bounce it with Brionac.--YamiWheeler 21:28, June 2, 2010 (UTC)

Dust Tornado and Robbin' Goblin

I am not sure whether the card Dust Tornado is commonly played or not, since it is not a particularly fast Trap, but being able to destroy one of the opponent's Spell or Trap card is extremely useful since you might get rid of a Counter Trap they played or prevent continuous effects from taking effect. Placing a card face down after that is a bonus that Mystical Space Typhoon doesn't even provide. It's almost like the Dark Bribe equivalent of Solemn Judgment.

For me, I personally like to use Robbin' Goblin because this card can make the opponent lose cards from the hand, which is a good thing as they loses some of the options they might have (especially Spell and Trap cards). However, the only thing about the card that needs to be taken into consideration is if the opponent is a Dark World or Fabled player, because it will benefit them. Alrightio 05:13, June 3, 2010 (UTC)

I agree, robbin goblin is a good card, also combining it in a mill deck helps it's potential, no deck, no hand, no options. 24.12.251.225 16:05, June 3, 2010 (UTC)

Changing Destiny! I tried this out a bit and it's great, doesn't destroy, so you can avoid searching, etc, and you can run over the monster if you want, as it'll most likely have low def. It's pretty good. IronChain 19:52, June 3, 2010 (UTC)

Wall of Illusion

So, Wall of Illusion, what does it do? Oh wait, its only got 1850 defense? Oh well, it bounces anything that attacks it, so suck it, stardust!!! CardGamesFTW 00:09, June 4, 2010 (UTC)

Skull Lair

Just pair this bad boy of a contiunous trap with Gren Maju Da Eiza and let all hell loose. Hve Soul Absorption too? Great, high atk and LP is good. Gren Maju gone? Use Chaos End to wipe out all monsters into oblivion. Works with [[Solidarity to change up the monsters in your graveyard aswell. I run this card in my Zombie/Rock/Dino deck. It works. Adamtheamazing64 19:31, June 4, 2010 (UTC)

Athena

I've never seen anyone using Athena before even though it's a great card. A monster with 2600 ATK that summons Fairies from the graveyard and then does burn damage! It's that burn damage that makes it able to perform an OTK with Honest and Ultimate Offering as well. EvilHeroDarkGaia (talkcontribs) 15:24, July 5, 2010 (UTC)

Penguin Soldier

He's a little better than Mist Wurm in summoning. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 21:28, July 5, 2010 (UTC)

  • Too bad he can't bounce Spell/Trap Cards, needs to be flipped, can't be splashed into most decks and doesn't have 2500 ATK.--YamiWheeler (talkcontribs) 21:54, July 5, 2010 (UTC)

I've gotta disagree with your idea that Penguin Soldier is stronger than Mist Wurm but Penguin Soldier is a very usefull card. Frogs should be able to use it, although it's not fast enough...EvilHeroDarkGaia (talkcontribs) 22:00, July 5, 2010 (UTC)

Penguin Soldier is hilarious to have in a deck which stalls. If you stall well enough, you can return quite a few high-levelled monsters to your opponents hand. Or you can return one of your own monsters to your hand to re-use their flip effects. --HybridDragoness (talkcontribs) 08:52, July 8, 2010 (UTC)

Ritual Monsters

This is a nice topic. I think that ritual monsters, even the powerful ones like Relinquished and Black Luster Soldier haven't seen much action

(Jrlewa38 (talkcontribs) 21:36, July 5, 2010 (UTC))

I wouldn't say they're good though in my opinion. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 21:34, July 5, 2010 (UTC)

Chain Destruction

this is a card people at my local had no clue about, it messes up alot of decks, buttt its a side deck cardTeamCheckMate (talkcontribs) 21:42, July 5, 2010 (UTC)

My opinion

Black Garden. So many ways to abuse it, so little time...--Akiza Izayoi (talkcontribs) 23:29, July 5, 2010 (UTC)

Bounce

For those People who have listed Bounce Cards, take a look at Dark Cat with White Tail Brodster (talkcontribs) 23:37, July 5, 2010 (UTC)

Nimble Rodents

From the old fashioned Nimble Momonga, to the more recent Nimble Musasabi and Super-Nimble Mega Hamster. Despite their effects and field swarming capabilities, I have yet to come across any duelist who uses them. And people at my Duelist League have some pretty obscure cards. --Don't panic, here comes Manik! 00:00, July 6, 2010 (UTC)

I'm going to use Super-Nimble Mega Hamster in my Zombie Deck with my Ryko's. EvilHeroDarkGaia (talkcontribs) 00:01, July 6, 2010 (UTC)

Enemy Controller is a pretty useful card for both offense or defense, and can be used in various ways. Too bad it hardly sees a lot of use. --Gadjiltron (talkcontribs) 07:22, July 6, 2010 (UTC)

I don't know because I see a lot of people use Enemy Controller over here. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 13:46, July 6, 2010 (UTC)

It usually gets overlooked in favour of cards like Book of Moon. Enemy Controller usually comes in as a temporary substitute or something. --Gadjiltron (talkcontribs) 13:48, July 6, 2010 (UTC)

I use Enemy Controller, it's a great card and at my locals it's "overused". EvilHeroDarkGaia (talkcontribs) 18:36, July 6, 2010 (UTC)

Something should be done about Book of Moon and Enemey Controller. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 09:02, July 7, 2010 (UTC)

Card Trader and Autonomous Action Unit, really underrated. Fawlker (talkcontribs) 18:08, July 7, 2010 (UTC)

Brute Force

Gene-Warped Warwolf and Slate Warrior have good atk for level 4, and Slate Warrior has some other good effects. I also use Final Attack Orders to punish cards like Spirit Reaper and Marshmallon. Evil Hero Malicious Edge has good attack for 1 tribute and hurts anyone who gets around Final Attack Orders. I don't use it, but Frostosaurus also has good attack and being level 6 helps with synchro summoning. UshiOni (talkcontribs) 18:22, July 7, 2010 (UTC)

Wow kind of like Jack Atlas because he punish cards with good defense too. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 20:27, July 7, 2010 (UTC)

Magical Merchant

Seriously, Magical Merchant is an underestimated card. Epic Mill power while netting you a free Spell/Trap can easily speed up some otherwise slow strategies.BlackLight (talkcontribs) 20:41, July 7, 2010 (UTC)

He's as good as any flip card. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 21:44, July 7, 2010 (UTC)

Forced Back/Intercept. These cards ruin ANY summon/Tribute summon, and completely wastes your opponent's Normal Summon. Truely awesome against Monarchs and Frognarchs, Blackwings (NO SWARMING FOR YOU!),or against any kind of deck that relies on a monster. Horn of Heaven and Black Horn of Heaven are also good, Horn of Heaven is the Solemn Judgment version of Trap Hole, and BoH ruins Fusion and Synchros.Drew-Gi-Oh! (talkcontribs) 02:21, July 8, 2010 (UTC)

Yeah you won't see that everyday anymore. I don't like forced back because I prefer Trap Hole but Intercept is A ok because of cards like Frostosaurus. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 05:35, July 8, 2010 (UTC)

I just remembered some...

That's all i remember for now. Fawlker 07:21, August 16, 2010 (UTC)

Megamorph

It's steroids practically. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 17:37, August 16, 2010 (UTC)

I love Changing Destiny but I dont use it because the judge at my locals thinks its effects are bad for the player that used it.

Seriously???What's with all the Changing Destinys???IT'S CALLED Security Orb!!!!

--Drew-Gi-Oh! (talk) 20:34, August 16, 2010 (UTC)

Mist Body

I gotta go with Mist Body I think its funky.

User:Taylor ace

I know, not a lot of people think it's very useful. IT IS VERY USEFUL! --Drew-Gi-Oh! (talk) 21:11, August 16, 2010 (UTC)

...

I gotta give this one to Burden of the Mighty. Its epically deadly when used in threes. Megadeth9887 (talkcontribs) 21:52, August 16, 2010 (UTC)

...

Chain Disappearance just found out about this card. Think about all the monsters with powerful effects it can stop. It can really mess up some strategies65.123.148.34 (talk) 22:18, August 16, 2010 (UTC)

Good point. It can mess strategies up like Ronintoadin FTK I think. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 22:54, August 16, 2010 (UTC)

Remembered another one: Mirror of Oaths. It stop A LOT of cards and A LOT of decks (Summoner Monk, Rescue Cat, searchers, GB decks...) and gives you 1 card, so it should be at least side decking or something. Fawlker 19:26, August 17, 2010 (UTC)

Too bad it doesn't work from the Extra Deck. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 00:34, August 18, 2010 (UTC)

Change of Heart

A card that used to be a must, now it's not seeing much use but is still awesome.Mulstrath (talkcontribs) 00:46, August 18, 2010 (UTC)

It's obvious you don't see it much because it's banned. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 00:49, August 18, 2010 (UTC)

Even though it's banned that card takes me back to when I first started yugioh, now we have to pay for our opponent's monsters --RSs (talkcontribs) 00:51, August 18, 2010 (UTC)

I was talking about in traditional format. And whats with all the original cards that were god getting banned anyways?! I'll just start a new topic about this.Mulstrath (talkcontribs) 00:56, August 18, 2010 (UTC)

Have fun kid. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 00:56, August 18, 2010 (UTC)

If they are good, they get limited/banned/forbidden. Why? BECAUSE KONAMI SAID SO!--Drew-Gi-Oh! (talk) 01:13, August 18, 2010 (UTC)

Yes. Yes they did. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 01:14, August 18, 2010 (UTC)
