NOTE: I deleted the previous version as I feel this one is ALOT clearer Okay this is my attempt of using Winged Dragon of Ra in a Psychic OTK Deck.

Basically the goal is to

  • Summon Ra as quick as possible, and go for the kill an OHK!

How do I do it

  • STEP1: Have Lab, Mind Master, DNA Surgery, Telekinetic Power Well and any Psychic Monster.
  • STEP2: Activate lab. Set DNA:Declare Psychic.
  • STEP3: Summon Mind Master.
  • Step4: Mill as much as you can of your deck, cycling through lv2 psychics and Destructrotrons for backrow clearance.
  • STEP5: Activate Telekinetic Power Well, and bring back as much lv2 psychics for Ra tribute.
  • STEP6: You'll have to wait a turn (Don't worry this deck has stall elements.)
  • STEP7: Summon Ra, now he's Psychic and lab lets you have infinte monsters destrustion, blow up your opp field.
  • Note Ra can only kill monsters via his effect, thats why I have 3 Destructotrons, and MST.

How to arrange this in a duel

  • Lab: Terraforming
  • DNA: Draw/ Gold Sarcophagus
  • Ra: Draw/Gold Sarcophagus
  • Mind Master: One for One/Doctor Cranium/Emergency Teleport
  • Telekinetic: Draw/ G.S.

Draw power combined with Monster Proportions

  • I know you may be thinking 'you can't depend on topdecks'...I know that's why:
  • I might include more Psychics (so more of the deck is milled via Mind Master)

For example:

    • 1)Let's say I have 40 cards in my deck and there's one Ra(Hypothetically) I have a 1/40 chance of drawing him.
    • 2) Now let's say 19 are psychic monsters, (19+1)/40 monsters (1 is ra) If I mill those 19 now with Mind Master theres under 21 cards in my deck (The chance of drawing Ra is now 1/20 do you get it?)
  • BTW thats just how the proportions of monster are made in my deck, now add draw power factor!!
  • I'll keep the deck at 40, Upstart, Psychic Trigger (since I'm milling so many Psychics into the grave I can now remove them to draw even more...Free Reckless Greed!)
  • 6/20 monsters are DARK so Allure is given.
  • Gold Sarcophagus for precision.

Hanging in There

  • Lab should not be destroyed, otherwise you'll pay heavily.
  • Sin Stardust is given, protects Lab, 2500 easy Beatstick and Allure Fodder, stall
  • Dark Door, stall, remember this deck focuses on OHK, I need to power up Ra to deliver a massive blow, it'll be better if I rainbow Life'd Prior to Ra (More Lp)
  • Rainbow Life is back up, Counter cleaner can be considered. (But can be a dead draw)

Say plan goes wrong

  • Well time for synchro summoning!
  • Abuse Mind master for synchro and use Telekinetic Power Well.
  • This is one of the few OTK Decks that can theoretically fight back if things go wrong, unless you got hit 8000 by your own Lab :(

Ending Comments

    • I'm having alot of problems though I really wanted to make this deck work, but it's not fast enough to compete against Meta, it was my attempt to give Ra a chance, even against non-meta it's too hard to pull it off, I'm better off going pure Psychic OTK.
    • Is there any hope for Ra?
    • Hope you liked the idea, since I saw a lot of Obelisk users I figured I'll try my hand at Ra.

I think I'll alter the deck formula, (More psychics to mil, as of now the max I can mill with Mind Master is 9 :( ) Also Card Trooper, Ryko, and other such mill cards might aid this well. Superboltboy (talk • contribs) 14:15, May 6, 2011 (UTC)MarikIshtar

  • Megamorph only double the Original ATK, Ra's Original ATK is 0 :(. However I ca consider Unstable Evolution as this card resets the Original ATK, then Ra's ATK boost will be re-applied, basically I get an extra 2400 ATK which is pretty cool.Superboltboy (talk • contribs) 15:09, May 6, 2011 (UTC)MarikIshtar
