G.O.D. (Ｇ・Ｏ・Ｄ（ゴッド） Goddo), also known as simply the God cards, is a series of Level 10 Pendulum Monsters in the Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V manga. They are cards created from the power of Genesis Omega Dragon, also known as "G.O.D.", including "Genesis Omega Dragon" itself, who is held by Eve. The other two G.O.D. monsters were created by the holders of the Adam Factor (the power of Genesis Omega Dragon); "G.O.D.-Eyes Phantom Dragon", held by Yuya Sakaki, and "Divine Go-D/D/D Zero King Zero G.O.D. Reiji", held by Reiji Akaba. Their Pendulum Scales are all 0.

Series history

The Genesis Omega Dragon was created by unknown makers, and used its time-altering abilities to grant the wishes of several people on different worlds, eventually destroying them due to their personal satisfaction preventing civilization from advancing. When it came to the world of the series, a portion of its power was stolen by Adam, becoming the "Adam Factor", and the rest became the "G.O.D." card, which fell into Eve's hands. She used the card in an attempt to find Adam, unaware that possessing it prevented Adam from reuniting with her, lest the power of "Genesis Omega Dragon" be completed again.

Adam passed two-thirds of his Adam Factor to Yuya Sakaki and Reiji Akaba. They both used this power to create their own "G.O.D." monsters; Yuya created "G.O.D.-Eyes Phantom Dragon" with the help of his brothers during his Duel with Eve to counter the effects of "Genesis Omega Dragon"; while Reiji created "Divine Go-D/D/D Zero King Zero G.O.D. Reiji" during his Duel with Yuya over "Genesis Omega Dragon" after he received Adam's portion of the Adam Factor. Their two "G.O.D.s" clashed during the Duel, but they were destroyed in the climax, and the Duel came down to a sprint for Action Cards that Yuya won. After winning, Yuya tore up the "Genesis Omega Dragon" card, and he, Reiji, Isaac and Ren departed to find the makers of "Genesis Omega Dragon".

Abilities

All of the "G.O.D." cards have effects that reference the manipulation of time and space:

• "Zero G.O.D. Reiji" can make cards seem as though they do not exist on the field by Tributing various numbers of monsters, referencing the manipulation of space (in the OCG/TCG it can variably attack directly, prevent the opponent from activating card effects in the hand or Graveyard, or prevent the opponent from activating effects in the Spell/Trap Zones). In addition, if it successfully attacks the opponent, their LP becomes 0 (in the OCG/TCG, its ATK becomes equal to the opponent's LP if their LP is 4000 or less).

• "G.O.D.-Eyes" can skip the opponent's turn and move straight to the next Battle Phase, referencing the manipulation of time (in the OCG/TCG it does not possess this effect, but retains its ability to negate Spell/Trap effects). In addition, it can increase its ATK depending on the number of monsters Tributed for its Special Summon (in the OCG/TCG it doubles its ATK).

• "Genesis Omega Dragon", as the originator of the power, can manipulate both time and space. It can immediately end the current turn when targeted by an attack or card effect by placing a card in the Pendulum Zone, and gains 1000 ATK at the beginning of every turn, referencing the manipulation of time. It can also destroy cards on the field equal to the number of cards in the controller's Pendulum Zones, referencing the manipulation of space.
