Gem Dragon is a small series of Dragon monsters whose Japanese names consist of the name of a precious gem, followed by the kana for "Dragon": ドラゴン. All of its members are either LIGHT or WIND monsters, except for the DARK "Labradorite Dragon". They are also all Normal Monsters, except for the Effect Monster "Diamond Head Dragon".

This series also includes "Hyozanryu", since its Japanese name is literally translated as "Diamond Dragon".
