"Goha 7th Elementary School Song" (ゴーハだいしょうがっこうこうせいしょう Gōha Dainana Shōgakkō Kōka Seishō) is the first Japanese ending theme of the Yu-Gi-Oh! SEVENS anime. It is performed by Hiro Ishibashi, Taku Yashiro, Natsuki Hanae, and (starting from episode 27) Tomori Kusunoki, the Japanese voice actors for Yuga Ohdo, Tatsuhisa "Luke" Kamijo, Gakuto Sogetsu, and Romin Kirishima respectively. It is the anthem of Goha 7th Elementary.[1]

Changes[edit]

  • In episode 27, Taku Yashiro (Luke) takes over the solo parts of the song. From this episode forward, Tomori Kusunoki (Romin) joins the choral parts, and the visuals are extensively edited:
    • In the first scene, Romin joins the other main characters on the stage, and her Duel Guitar is laying on the wall behind them along with a speaker.
    • The following shots of the main characters walking also feature Romin, and the various pictures of the school locales in the background are replaced with exterior views of the Road Laboratory, Tahayasty Restaurant, A.I. Restaurant, and Seven Hells Hall.
    • In the second scene with the main characters on the stage, Romin is again added, now holding the Duel Guitar.
    • The still shots of the main characters having a picnic, washing the school pool, and racing are replaced with ones featuring (respectively) Luke, Yoshio, and Menzaburo at Tahayasty, Luke sewing the plushes of the Rush Duel Club, and Luke sleeping while cuddling a "Dragias the Striking Dragon" plush surrounded by the other main characters.
    • In the last moments of the scene with "Fiendish Commander Yameruler" and "Sevens Road Magician" waving their weapons, and "Dragias" stomping its foot, along the song's beat, "Prima Guitarna of the Colorful Light" appears in the foreground and waves her hands.
    • Romin is added to the group photo she's watching on her phone while joining the rest of the main cast on the school's roof.
    • In the closing shot of the night sky, Noodle Sorako now flies across the screen in her saucer mode.
  • In episode 28, the entire song is rendered as a choir, and the set of still shots features the main cast hanging in the Rush Duel Club room (with Yuga and Romin looking her Deck while Gakuto and Luke Duel), Menzaburo pouring a bowl of ramen into sushi rice while Sushiko and Nick watch in shock and horror respectively, and the Newspaper Club eating fast food.
  • In episode 29, the still shot of Menzaburo and his friends is removed, and one with the Dueling and Dinosaur Research Club digging in the Goha 7th's yard is added after that of the Newspaper Club.
  • In episode 30, the song is reverted to a mix of solo and choir, with Hiro Ishibashi (Yuga) performing the former. The still shots are changed to Kaizo offering a towel to a drenched Yuga, the main cast at the beach, and Yuga standing next to a snowman modelled after Kaizo and "Sevens Road Magician".
  • In episode 31, the ending changes back to an older version for the first time, specifically to episode 27's.
  • In episode 32, the ending changes back to episode 30's version.
  • In episode 33, Natsuki Hanae (Gakuto) does the solos, and the stills are Gakuto looking out a window in a snowy night, Gakuto cooking together with Ranze and Rinnosuke, and the main cast (with everyone but Gakuto dressed as kurokos) carrying books and paperwork.
  • In episode 34, the song is fully choral like in episode 28, and the still of the Rush Duel Club is reused, but the other two are replaced by Chevelle Kayama and Asana Mutsuba having tea in a garden (with Galient Tazaki visible in the far background and Trapigeon peeking into the camera after a few moments), and Nail Saionji sleeping over Sebastian in front of a fireplace.

Trivia[edit]

  • When prompted in the anime, Gakuto tried to sing this song, but proved to be tone-deaf.[1] His voice actor Natsuki Hanae admitted that it was difficult to sing so awkwardly.[2]
