Jaden Yuki (Spirit Caller)
|Japanese translated||Judai Yuki|
Jaden Yuki, known as Judai Yuki (遊城 十代, Yūki Jūdai) in the Japanese version, is a character in the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Spirit Caller video game. This is a video game depiction of Jaden Yuki, a character from the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX anime.
Jaden and the player met at the Duel Academy entrance exam, to which they both arrived late. Vellian Crowler gave them both a second chance to enroll if they could defeat him in a Duel, and developed a dislike for both of them after his loss.
Jaden first duels the player one night after meeting Zane Truesdale at the Lighthouse.
Crowler uses the player and Jaden's excursion to the Abadonded Dorm as an excuse to expel them, unless they can defeat a special pair of opponents that were to be announced and faced next day. Not feeling too confident, Jaden asks the player to edit his Deck before the Duel begins. The opponents are revealed to be the Paradox Brothers, who are faced separately - Jaden duels Dox, while the player is pitted against Para. Both Jaden and the player must win in order to continue the game.
Jaden duels the player at the Duel Field to decide Duel Academy's representative against North Academy.
As the last duel in the storyline, Jaden faces the player in the Duel Field again, this time in a Match, as the tournament's final match.
After beating the game, Jaden can be found around the Red Dorm, the entrance to Duel Academy, and the Forest.
Jaden can give the player 1 copy of any of the following cards each time he is defeated.
- Jaden sends the player this message after first obtaining a spirit partner.
Subject: I forgot to tell you!
You can't have multiple duel spirits with you at the same time! It doesn't affect me because I'm always with Winged Kuriboh. If you change to a new spirit, the old spirit is knocked out for awhile. I mean, you would be conked out too if you suddenly lost a duelist's fighting energy! Just let the removed spirit rest for awhile, and it'll come back to full energy.Jaden
I forgot to say this earlier!
I just remembered that you cannot have multiple card spirits on you at the same time! That isn't much of a problem for me though, because I'm always with Winged Kuriboh! If you change spirits, the one that was with you up until then will fall into a slumber due to suddenly being separated from a duelist's fighting spirit, so keep that in mind! Any spirit you separate from will not be available for quite a while. It will eventually recover though.Judai
- Jaden sends this message one night after the player becomes Duel Academy's representative for the duel against North Academy.
Hey, <Player name>! Spirits usually come out at night, and they love duels! So the more you duel, your chances of meeting a spirit goes up! Well, that's just my theory, not fact, but... Maybe it'll work!Jaden
About encountering spirits
Hey, <Player>! I've noticed something amazing! While spirits only want to come out at night, they must really like dueling. So, the more you duel, the more likely you are to run into them! I might be imagining all of this and I do not really understand it all just yet, but I'm letting you know anyway.Judai
- Jaden sends the player this message after registering him as a contact.
Sweet! Thanks for registering me as a duelist! We'll totally get our game on!Jaden
Gotcha! Thanks for registering as a duelist! From now on we can duel each other all the time, like good rivals do!Judai
- Jaden sends the player this message after dueling him 30 times.
Subject: Dueling is Fun
<Player name>! I don't remember how many times we dueled already, but you're definitely my #1 opponent! Thanks for the good times!Jaden
Player>! I want to have some more amazing duels with you! Let's keep on having fun duels!Judai
