Jaden and Yubel's Duel was a Duel that took place in the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX anime, to stop the latter from fusing the 12 dimensions into a single dimension. Internationally, it served as the final Duel of the series, as the following season was never localized.
Prior Events[edit]
Yubel intends to use "Super Polymerization" to fuse the 12 dimensions into one, and destroy them all at once. Jaden disapproves.
The Duel begins.
Featured Duel: Jaden Yuki vs. Yubel[edit]
Turn 1: Yubel
Yubel Normal Summons "Samsara Lotus" in Attack Position and Sets a card. She then activates "Spell Chronicle" by banishing "Zero Sprite", "Fiend Rose", "Mystical Space Typhoon", "Grinder Golem", and "Super Polymerization" from her Deck.
Each time Jaden activates a Spell Card, "Spell Chronicle" will gain 1 Chronicle Counter (max. 2), and during her Main Phase, she can remove 2 Chronicle Counters from it to force Jaden to add one of the 5 banished cards to her hand.
Turn 2: Jaden
Jaden activates "Polymerization" (Chronicle Counters: 1), fusing "Elemental HERO Burstinatrix" and "Elemental HERO Avian" in his hand to Fusion Summon "Elemental HERO Flame Wingman" in Attack Position.
Jaden attacks and destroys "Samsara Lotus" with "Flame Wingman". Yubel activates her Set "Sinister Seeds", reducing the battle damage from the attack by as many multiples of 1000 as possible (Yubel LP: 4000 → 3900). Since she reduced 2000 damage this way, she Special Summons two "Sinister Seed Tokens" (100/100 each) in Defense Position. Jaden Sets a card.
Turn 3: Yubel
Yubel Tributes her two "Sinister Seed Tokens" to Tribute Summon "Regenerating Rose" in Attack Position.
Yubel attacks "Flame Wingman" with "Regenerating Rose". The effect of "Regenerating Rose" activates, increasing its own ATK to equal that of "Flame Wingman" (1500 → 2100/0) during Damage calculation only. Jaden activates his Set "De-Fusion" (CC: 2), returning "Flame Wingman" to his Extra Deck to Special Summon "Burstinatrix" and "Avian" from his Graveyard in Defense Position. Since the attack target was lost, the attacks is negated.
Yubel removes 2 Chronicle Counters from "Spell Chronicle", forcing Jaden to choose one of her 5 remaining banished cards. Jaden chooses "Zero Sprite".
Turn 4: Jaden
Jaden Normal Summons "Elemental HERO Sparkman" in Attack Position. He then activates "Spark Blaster" (CC: 1), equipping it to "Sparkman". Up to three times while he controls it, he can change the battle position of a monster Yubel controls, but after the third time, "Spark Blaster" will be destroyed.
Jaden uses the effect of "Spark Blaster" to force "Regenerating Rose" into Defense Position. He then attacks and destroys "Regenerating Rose" with "Sparkman". The effect of "Regenerating Rose" activates, allowing Yubel to Special Summon 2 "Regenerating Rose Tokens" in Defense Position.
Turn 5: Yubel
Yubel Sets a card, then Tributes her two "Regenerating Rose Tokens" to Tribute Summon "Yubel" in Attack Position. She then attacks "Sparkman" with "Yubel". By its own effect, "Yubel" cannot be destroyed by battle, and Jaden takes any battle damage from battles involving it (Jaden LP: 4000 → 2400).
During Yubel's End Phase, she activates the effect of "Samsara Lotus" in her Graveyard, Special Summoning it in Attack Position. She then Tributes that "Samsara Lotus" in order to keep "Yubel" in play.
Turn 6: Jaden
Jaden changes "Sparkman" into Defense Position, then Sets a card.
Turn 7: Yubel
Yubel Sets a card, then attacks "Sparkman" with "Yubel". Jaden counters with his Set "Hero Barrier", negating the attack. Yubel, however, activates her Set "Zero Sprite", equipping it to "Yubel". It can now attack twice during each Battle Phase
Yubel attacks "Sparkman" with "Yubel", with Jaden again taking damage instead (Jaden LP: 2400 → 1000). During her End Phase, she both Special Summons "Samsara Lotus" from her Graveyard and Tributes it to keep "Yubel" in play.
Turn 8: Jaden
Jaden activates "Neospace Wave" (CC: 2), sending his 3 "Elemental HEROes" to the Graveyard to Special Summon, from his Deck, "Neo-Spacian Aqua Dolphin" and "Neo-Spacian Glow Moss" in Attack Position, as well as "Neo-Spacian Air Hummingbird" in Defense Position.
Jaden then activates "NEX", Tributing "Glow Moss" to Special Summon "Neo-Spacian Twinkle Moss" in Attack Position. He also activates the effect of "Air Hummingbird", gaining 500 LP for each card in Yubel's hand. There are three (Jaden LP: 1000 → 2500).
Jaden then attacks "Yubel" with "Twinkle Moss". The effect of "Twinkle Moss" activates, forcing Jaden to draw a card, reveal it, and apply an appropriate effect based on its card type (Monster, Spell, or Trap). He draws "Space Gift", a Spell Card, so the attack becomes a direct attack instead (Yubel LP: 3900 → 3400). He then activates "Space Gift", drawing three cards since he controls three different "Neo-Spacian" monsters.
Turn 9: Yubel
Yubel removes 2 Chronicle Counters from "Spell Chronicle", forcing Jaden to choose one of her 4 remaining banished cards. Jaden chooses "Fiend Rose". Yubel attacks "Aqua Dolphin" with "Yubel" twice (Jaden LP: 2500 → 1900 → 1300). Yusei Sets two cards.
During her End Phase, she both Special Summons "Samsara Lotus" from her Graveyard and Tributes it to keep "Yubel" in play.
Turn 10: Jaden
Jaden activates the effect of "Air Hummingbird" again, with Yubel having three cards in her hand (Jaden LP: 1300 → 2800). He then Normal Summons "Card Ejector". When Summoned, he activates its effect to banish "Samsara Lotus" from Yubel's Graveyard, but Yubel activates her Set "Zero Hole", negating the effect and destroying "Card Ejector". Since a monster was destroyed, Jaden activates his Set "Neo Signal" to Special Summon "Neo-Spacian Grand Mole" from his Deck in Attack Position.
Jaden attacks "Yubel" with "Grand Mole", intending to use its effect to return "Yubel" to the hand, but Yubel counters with her Set "Hate Buster", destroying both "Grand Mole" and "Yubel", then inflicting damage to Jaden equal to the ATK of "Grand Mole" (Jaden LP: 2800 → 1900). Since "Yubel" was destroyed by an effect other than its own, Yubel activates its effect to Special Summon "Yubel - Terror Incarnate" from her Deck in Attack Position.
Jaden attacks the new "Yubel" with "Twinkle Moss", drawing a card by his monster's effect. The revealed card is "Elemental HERO Prisma", a monster, so the Battle Phase ends automatically. Jaden Sets a card.
Turn 11: Yubel
Yubel attacks "Aqua Dolphin" with "Yubel". "Yubel - Terror Incarnate" cannot be destroyed by battle, and Jaden continues to take all battle damage from battles involving it (Jaden LP: 1900 → 1300).
During her End Phase, Yubel Special Summons "Samsara Lotus" from her Graveyard. Also during her End Phase, the effect of "Yubel - Terror Incarnate" destroys all other monsters she controls. Since a monster was destroyed this way, Yubel can destroy a monster Jaden controls. She destroys "Air Hummingbird".
Turn 12: Jaden
Jaden Tributes "Aqua Dolphin" to Tribute Summon "Elemental HERO Prisma" in Defense Position. Jaden attacks "Yubel" with "Twinkle Moss", drawing a card by his monster's effect. The drawn card is "Fake Hero", a Spell Card, so "Twinkle Moss" attacks Yubel directly (Yubel LP: 3400 → 2900).
Turn 13: Yubel
Yubel attacks "Prisma" with "Yubel" (Jaden LP: 1300 → 200). During her End Phase, Yubel Special Summons "Samsara Lotus" from her Graveyard, which is then destroyed by "Yubel - Terror Incarnate". Since a monster was destroyed by the effect of "Yubel - Terror Incarnate", Yubel destroys "Twinkle Moss".
Turn 14: Jaden
Jaden activates "Fake Hero" (CC: 1), Special Summoning "Elemental HERO Neos" from his hand in Attack Position. He then activates the effect of "Elemental HERO Prisma", sending "Rainbow Dragon" from his Deck to the Graveyard to have "Prisma" be treated as the sent monster until the End Phase.
Jaden activates "Polymerization" (CC: 2), fusing "Elemental HERO Neos" and "Rainbow Dragon" to Fusion Summon "Rainbow Neos" in Attack Position. He activates the effect of "Rainbow Neos", sending the top card of his Deck ("Elemental HERO Necroshade") to the Graveyard to shuffle all the cards in Yubel's Graveyard back to her Deck. He then activates his Set "Arms Hole", sending the next top card of his Deck ("Necro Gardna") to the Graveyard to add "Rainbow Veil" from his Deck to his hand, which he then equips to "Rainbow Neos".
Jaden attacks "Yubel" with "Rainbow Neos". By the effect of "Rainbow Veil", "Yubel" has its effects negated during the Battle Phase only. Yubel activates her Set "Fiend Rose", equipping it to "Yubel". "Yubel" is not destroyed, and she takes no battle damage.
Turn 15: Yubel
Yubel removes 2 Chronicle Counters from "Spell Chronicle", forcing Jaden to choose one of her 3 remaining banished cards. Jaden chooses "Mystical Space Typhoon".
Yubel attacks "Rainbow Neos" with "Yubel", but Jaden banishes "Necro Gardna" from his Graveyard to negate the attack.
Turn 16: Jaden
Jaden activates "Fifth Hope" (CC: 1), returning "Avian", "Burstinatrix", "Sparkman", "Prisma", and "Neos" in his Graveyard to his Deck to draw 2 cards.
Jaden Normal Summons "Elemental HERO Clayman" in Defense Position. He then activates the effect of "Rainbow Neos", sending "Clayman" to the Graveyard to return all monsters Yubel controls to the Deck. However, since "Yubel - Terror Incarnate" has left the field, its effect allows Yubel to Special Summon "Yubel - The Ultimate Nightmare" from her Deck in Attack Position. It cannot be destroyed by battle, Yubel takes no battle damage from battles involving it, and if it battles one of Jaden's monsters, that monster will be destroyed after the Damage Step, and Jaden will take damage equal to its ATK.
Turn 17: Yubel
Yubel attacks "Rainbow Neos" with "Yubel". Jaden activates his Set "Alchemy Cycle", reducing the ATK of "Rainbow Neos" to 0 (4500 → 0/3000) and preventing it from being destroyed by battle this turn. After damage calculation, "Alchemy Cycle" banishes "Rainbow Neos" and allows Jaden to draw a card. Yubel Sets a card.
Turn 18: Jaden
Using the effect of "Elemental HERO Necroshade" in his Graveyard, Jaden Normal Summons "Elemental HERO Neos" in Attack Position without Tributing. Jaden Sets a card.
Turn 19: Yubel
Yubel attacks "Neos" with "Yubel", but Jaden activates his Set "Mirage Tube" (CC: 2) to negate the attack, then inflict damage to Yubel equal to the ATK of "Neos" (Yubel LP: 2900 → 400).
Yubel removes 2 Chronicle Counters from "Spell Chronicle", forcing Jaden to choose one of her 2 remaining banished cards. Jaden chooses "Super Polymerization". Yubel activates her Set "Chain Material". If she Fusion Summons this turn, she can banish Fusion Materials from her field, hand, Deck, and/or Graveyard to perform that Fusion Summon.
She then activates "Super Polymerization", discarding 1 card. She declares her intent to fuse 12 monsters, each with consecutive Levels from 1 to 12, but Jaden activates his Set "Spiritual Fusion". If Yubel Fusion Summons this turn, he chooses the Fusion Materials used for that Summon. And for this Summon, he chooses to fuse himself with Yubel.
At this point, the Duel ends.
Aftermath[edit]
Jaden and Yubel disappear in a grand flash of light. Everyone else (with some exceptions) is sent back to the dimension they came from. Peace returns to the world, until the next time something goes wrong.
