Synopsis[edit]

Scripted Duel[edit]

This duel is conducted as a Master Duel.

Turn 1: Varis
Varis Normal Summons "Rokket Synchron" (0/0). Varis sets "Rokket Synchron" (1 Level 4 or lower Dragon monster) in the Link Arrows to Link Summon "Striker Dragon" (1000/←) to the Extra Monster Zone on his right-hand side. He activates the effect of "Striker Dragon" as it was Link Summoned, adding 1 "Boot Sector Launch" from his Deck to his hand. He then activates the other effect of "Striker Dragon" to target a face-up monster he controls and 1 "Rokket" monster in his GY, the target on the field is destroyed and the target in the GY is added to Varis' hand. Varis targets "Striker Dragon" on his field and "Rokket Synchron" in his GY. "Striker Dragon" is destroyed and "Rokket Synchron" is added to Varis' hand through the former's effect. Varis activates the Field Spell "Boot Sector Launch" and activates its second effect, allowing him to Special Summon 2 "Rokket" monsters from his hand in Defense Position. He Special Summons "Rokket Synchron" (0/0) and "Magnarokket Dragon" (1800/1200) in Defense Position from his hand with the effect of "Boot Sector Launch". Due to the first effect of "Boot Sector Launch", all "Rokket" monsters on the field gain 300 ATK/DEF ("Rokket Synchron": 0/0 → 300/300 ATK/DEF, "Magnarokket Dragon": 1800/1200 → 2100/1500 ATK/DEF). Varis sets "Rokket Synchron" and "Magnarokket Dragon" (2 "Rokket" monsters) in the Link Arrows to Link Summon "Booster Dragon" (1900/↙↘) to the Extra Monster Zone on his right-hand side.

Turn 2: Playmaker
Playmaker Normal Summons "Cyberse Synchron" (100/100). As he controls a Cyberse monster, Playmaker Special Summons "Backup Secretary" (1200/800) from his hand in Defense Position with its own effect. Playmaker activates the effect of "Cyberse Synchron" to target 1 Level 4 or lower monster he controls and increase its Level by its original Level until the end of the turn. He targets the Level 3 "Backup Secretary" ("Backup Secretary": Level 3 → 6). Playmaker tunes the Level 1 Tuner "Cyberse Synchron" with the now-Level 6 non-Tuner "Backup Secretary" to Synchro Summon the Level 7 "Cyberse Quantum Dragon" (2500/2000) in Attack Position to the Extra Monster Zone on his right-hand side.

"Cyberse Quantum Dragon" attacks "Booster Dragon". At the start of the Damage Step, as "Cyberse Quantum Dragon" is battling an opponent's monster, Playmaker activates its effect to return that opponent's monster to the hand, also, "Cyberse Quantum Dragon" can make a second attack in a row. As it is a Link Monster, "Booster Dragon" is returned to Varis' Extra Deck instead of his hand. Due to its effect, "Cyberse Quantum Dragon" can make a second attack in a row, and attacks Varis directly (Varis: 4000 → 1500 LP).

Turn 3: Varis
As Playmaker controls more monsters than Varis does, he activates the third effect of "Boot Sector Launch" to Special Summon "Rokket" monsters with different names from his GY up to the difference. He Special Summons "Rokket Synchron" (0/0) in Defense Position from his GY with the effect of "Boot Sector Launch". Due to the first effect of "Boot Sector Launch", all "Rokket" monsters on the field gain 300 ATK/DEF ("Rokket Synchron": 0/0 → 300/300 ATK/DEF). Varis activates the Quick-Play Spell "Quick Launch", allowing him to Special Summon 1 "Rokket" monster from his Deck, but it cannot attack and it is destroyed during the End Phase. He Special Summons "Exploderokket Dragon" (2000/2000) in Attack Position with the effect of "Quick Launch". Due to the first effect of "Boot Sector Launch", all "Rokket" monsters on the field gain 300 ATK/DEF ("Exploderokket Dragon": 2000/2000 → 2300/2300 ATK/DEF). Varis tunes the Level 1 Tuner "Rokket Synchron" with the Level 7 non-Tuner "Exploderokket Dragon" to Synchro Summon the Level 8 "Borreload Savage Dragon" (3000/2200) in Attack Position to the Extra Monster Zone on his right-hand side. Varis activates the effect of "Borreload Savage Dragon" as it was Synchro Summoned, allowing him to equip 1 Link Monster from his GY to it, and if he does, Varis places Borrel Counters on this card equal to the equipped monster's Link Rating. "Borreload Savage Dragon" gains ATK equal to half the ATK of the monster equipped to it this way. Varis equips "Striker Dragon" from his GY to "Borreload Savage Dragon" and places 1 Borrel Counter on the latter ("Borreload Savage Dragon": 0 → 1 Borrel Counters). "Borreload Savage Dragon" gains ATK equal to half the ATK of "Striker Dragon", which is 500 ("Borreload Savage Dragon": 3000/2500 → 3500/2500 ATK/DEF).

"Borreload Savage Dragon" attacks "Cyberse Quantum Dragon". At the start of the Damage Step, Playmaker attempts to activate the effect of "Cyberse Quantum Dragon" to return "Borreload Savage Dragon" to Varis' hand. As Playmaker activated a card or effect, Varis activates the effect of "Borreload Savage Dragon" in response, removing 1 Borrel Counter from it to negate the activation ("Borreload Savage Dragon": 1 → 0 Borrel Counters). "Borreload Savage Dragon" attacks "Cyberse Quantum Dragon" (Playmaker: 4000 → 3000 LP). As Playmaker's monster in the Extra Monster Zone would be destroyed by battle or card effect, he banishes "Cyberse Synchron" from his GY to prevent "Cyberse Quantum Dragon" from being destroyed.

Varis Sets 2 cards in his Spell & Trap Zones.

Turn 4: Playmaker
"Cyberse Quantum Dragon" attacks "Borreload Savage Dragon". As Playmaker's monster declared an attack, Varis activates his Set Normal Trap "Mirror Force" to destroy all of Playmaker's Attack Position monsters. "Cyberse Quantum Dragon" is destroyed by the effect of "Mirror Force".

Playmaker Normal Summons "ROM Cloudia" (1800/0). He activates the effect of "ROM Cloudia" as it was Normal Summoned, allowing him to target 1 Cyberse monster in his GY, except "ROM Cloudia", and add it to his hand. Playmaker targets "Backup Secretary" and adds it from his GY to his hand with the effect of "ROM Cloudia". Playmaker activates the Ritual Spell "Cynet Ritual" to Ritual Summon a Cyberse Ritual Monster by Tributing monsters from his hand or field whose total Levels equal or exceed the Level of that Ritual Monster. Varis activates his Set Normal Trap "Mind Crush" and declares a card name. If that card is in Playmaker's hand, he must discard all copies of it, otherwise Varis discards 1 random card. Varis declares "Cyberse Magician", and since a copy of it is in Playmaker's hand, he discards it. As Playmaker no longer has a Ritual Monster in his hand, "Cynet Ritual" cannot resolve and is sent to the GY.

Turn 5: Varis
"Borreload Savage Dragon" attacks and destroys "ROM Cloudia" (Playmaker: 3000 → 1300 LP). As "ROM Cloudia" was destroyed by battle or card effect, Playmaker activates its effect, allowing him to Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower Cyberse monster from his Deck, except "ROM Cloudia". Playmaker Special Summons "Sea Archiver" (300/2100) in Defense Position from his Deck with the effect of "ROM Cloudia".

Turn 6: Playmaker
Playmaker Normal Summons "Lady Debug" (1700/1400). He activates the effect of "Lady Debug" as it was Normal Summoned, allowing him to add a Level 3 or lower Cyberse monster from his Deck to his hand. Playmaker adds "Cyberse Converter" from his Deck to his hand with the effect of "Lady Debug". As all monsters Playmaker controls are Cyberse monsters, he Special Summons "Cyberse Converter" (1000/1000) in Defense Position with its own effect. Playmaker sets "Sea Archiver", "Lady Debug", and "Cyberse Converter" (2+ Effect monsters) in the Link Arrows to Link Summon "Decode Talker" (2300/↑↙↘) to the Extra Monster Zone on his right-hand side. As he controls a Cyberse monster, Playmaker Special Summons "Backup Secretary" (1200/800) from his hand in Defense Position with its own effect to the zone the bottom-left Link Arrow of "Decode Talker" points to. As a monster was Normal or Special Summoned to a zone a Link Monster points to (except during the Damage Step), Playmaker can Special Summon "Sea Archiver" (300/2100) from his GY with its own effect, and does so in Defense Position. Playmaker overlays the Level 3 "Sea Archiver" and "Backup Secretary" to Xyz Summon the Rank 3 "Cyberse Reminder" (1800/800, 2 ORU) in Attack Position to the zone the bottom-right Link Arrow of "Decode Talker" points to. Playmaker pays 1000 LP (Playmaker: 1300 → 300 LP) to activate the Normal Spell "Instant Fusion" to Special Summon 1 Level 5 or lower Fusion Monster from his Extra Deck, but it cannot attack, also it is destroyed during the End Phase. This Special Summon is treated as a Fusion Summon. With the effect of "Instant Fusion", Playmaker Fusion Summons "Diplexer Chimera" (2000/800) in Attack Position to the zone the bottom-left Link Arrow of "Decode Talker" points to. Playmaker activates his Skill, Neo Storm Access, accessing a Cyberse monster at random from a nearby Data Storm and adding it to his Extra Deck. He obtains "Firewall Dragon Darkfluid" and adds it to his Extra Deck. Playmaker sets the Link 3 "Decode Talker", "Cyberse Reminder", and "Diplexer Chimera" (3+ Effect monsters) in the Link Arrows to Link Summon "Firewall Dargon Darkfluid" (3000/↑←→↙↘) to the Extra Monster Zone on his right-hand side. Since its was Link Summoned, Playmaker activates the effect of "Firewall Dragon Darkfluid", letting him place counters on it, equal to the number of Cyberse monsters in his GY with different monster card types (Ritual, Fusion, Synchro, and Xyz). He has all four types of cards in his GY ("Cyberse Magician", "Diplexer Chimera", "Cyberse Quantum Dragon", and "Cyberse Reminder", respectively). As a result, "Firewall Dragon Darkfluid" gains 4 Counters ("Firewall Dragon Darkfluid" Counters: 0 → 4).

"Firewall Dragon Darkfluid" attacks "Borreload Savage Dragon". During the Battle Phase, the effect of "Firewall Dragon Darkfluid" increases its ATK by 2500 for every counter on it that was placed on it by its own effect ("Firewall Dragon Darkfluid": 3000 → 13000 ATK). "Borreload Savage Dragon" is destroyed (Varis: 1500 → 0 LP).
