Dueling Network incident[edit]

On March 24, 2016, NAS sent a cease-and-desist order to Dueling Network, an online, unofficial dueling system, for the removal of their intellectual property, including images of cards, sleeves, and characters.[1] On July 5, Dueling Network went offline, with a notice posted on the homepage that it was "for legal reasons... until further notice", and that Konami was not to blame, but "another authorized party,"[2] which sparked speculation that NAS was behind the shutdown.
