The Paladins of Dragons, known as Knights of Dragons (
"Paladin of the Cursed Dragon", as a Zombie Effect Monster that is simply an undead "Paladin of White Dragon", only partially fits the theme of this series, so it is not included.
Design[edit]
Most Paladins of Dragons share some quirks with each other:
- An effect that activates when the Paladin battles, most often removal of an attacked monster at the start of the Damage Step.
- An effect that activates by Tributing themselves, and Special Summons a monster from hand or Main Deck (usually the related Dragon or a range of monsters that includes it) .
- A specific Ritual Spell Cards with the naming scheme "[Adjective] Dragon Ritual" ("[Adjective] Dragon Descent" in Japanese).
Exceptions are indicated in the table below between parenthesis and in italic.
