Video game debutYu-Gi-Oh! Duel Generation
Kastle, Reginald

Reginald Kastle [Shark] is a Duelist Construct of Reginald Kastle from the Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL series in the Virtual Dueling System. He is also the opponent that the player faced in Stage 16-4 of the ZEXAL Campaign mode in Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Generation. The player has to defeat him in a Duel in order to unlock the next stage and progress Campaign mode.

Appearance[edit]

As a Duelist Construct, his appearance is based on Reginald Kastle, and the outfit is what Reginald normally wore and used when he is not wearing his Heartland Academy uniform in the Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL anime series. Besides the outfit, Reginald is also wearing a Duel Gazer over his left eye, and this device allows him to see and watch the augmented reality setting of a Duel.

Etymology[edit]

His given name "Reginald" comes from Reginaldus which is a Latin form of the name Reynold, and both names carries the two word elements from Old High German. The first German element is ragin, meaning "advice" and the second German element is wald, meaning "rule" or "ruler". His surname "Kastle" is a corruption of the term Castle, a type of fortified structure built during the Middle Ages. The "Shark" in the bracket represent Reginald's nickname or other name that people can referred to him as, instead of calling him by his real name. Also, the name "Shark" comes from shark, a carnivorous fish.

In the French version, he is simply refers to as "Shark" while his real name "Reginald Kastle" was omitted. In the Spanish version, the name in the bracket is "Tiburón" which is the Spanish word for "Shark".

Rewards[edit]

There are a total of six rewards that the player can earn and received after defeating the Duel Construct in a Duel. The first two rewards are cards that come from the Duel Construct's Deck and the third reward is a recipe for their Deck. Then the fourth, fifth and sixth rewards repeated the same process of the three earlier rewards, but in a harder difficulty with a different Deck. In addition, the sixth reward will allow the player to have the Duel Construct's avatar and the ability to Duel them anytime between the two difficulty.
