Shinken is a tan-skinned boy with shaggy green hair and purple eyes. He has only been seen wearing a dark blue kendo uniform.
Etymology[edit]
Shinken's name means "sword" and "blade", referencing his hobby.
Biography[edit]

Shinken trained with Kotetsuki Mendo for the weekend's kendo tournament, but despite defeating him he believed he wouldn't be good enough to beat his rival, Goha 2nd Elementary's Ryu Nito. As a result they went to Haruka Kamijo for special training, but because they didn't call her "Tiger", they were injured by her yells and forced to go to Gavin Sogetsu to ask if he could be their substitute for the tournament that weekend. Once they arrived at the tournament, they found Yuran Goha and Proprietress who challenged them to a Kendo Rush Duel that Gavin and Rino accepted. During the Duel Swirly arrived with an injured Ryu, who revealed that Yuran had struck him and the other tournament participants down. Yuran, who had been playing and speaking passively, began to talk for himself and set Gavin up for a counterattack that defeated him.[1]
