Sawatari, Sylvio

Sylvio Sawatari is a Duelist Construct of Sylvio Sawatari from the Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V series in the Virtual Dueling System. He is also the opponent that the player faced in Stage 18-1 of the ARC-V Campaign mode in Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Generation. The player has to defeat him in a Duel in order to unlock the next stage and progress Campaign mode.

Appearance[edit]

As a Duelist Construct, his appearance is based on Sylvio Sawatari, and the outfit is a uniform that comes from Paradise Prep School in the Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V anime series. Also, this uniform is what he normally wore and shown using throughout the ARC-V anime series. Besides the outfit, he is also wearing a special badge on his left collar shirt and that badge belongs to the Leo Institute of Dueling. By wearing the LI badge, Sylvio is shown to be officially enrolled and has a membership proof from the institute.

Etymology[edit]

His given name "Sylvio" could be related to the name "Silvio", and its meaning is derived from the Latin silva which means forest.

In the Italian version, his given name was "Shingo" which is from a Japanese origin, and it has many meanings and connotations depending on how the name is written as. Unfortunately, in the Japanese version of the Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V anime series, Sylvio's Japanese name is written in Katakana, so it has no actual meaning. The name "Shingo" was also originally this character's name in the Japanese version of the ARC-V anime series.

His surname "Sawatari" is from a Japanese origin, and it has many meanings and connotations depending on how the name is written as.

Rewards[edit]

There are a total of six rewards that the player can earn and received after defeating the Duel Construct in a Duel. The first two rewards are cards that come from the Duel Construct's Deck and the third reward is a recipe for their Deck. Then the fourth, fifth and sixth rewards repeated the same process of the three earlier rewards, but in a harder difficulty with a different Deck. In addition, the sixth reward will allow the player to have the Duel Construct's avatar and the ability to Duel them anytime between the two difficulty.
