Syrus Truesdale, known as Sho Marufuji (丸藤 翔, Marufuji Shō) in the Japanese version, is a character in the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Spirit Caller video game. This is a video game depiction of Syrus Truesdale, a character from the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX anime.


The player character met Syrus in the entrance exams, and they run into each other on the boat to Duel Academy. He can be found for duels at most times of the day around the Red Dorm, and he can appear in the Forest during the weekends.

After Zane's Graduation Duel, Syrus advances from Slifer Red to Ra Yellow, and he will begin appearing around the Yellow Dorm.

Syrus refuses to duel once the characters learn of Zane's disappearance, but will accept to duel again after finishing the game.


Syrus can give the player 1 copy of any of the following cards each time he is defeated.

  • Syrus switches to this Deck after the player defeats Jinzo.
  • Syrus begins using this Deck when the player defeats Kagemaru, and uses it for the rest of the game.
