Torimaki, Taiyou

Taiyou Torimaki is a character in Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Spirit Caller. This is the game's incarnation of Taiyou Torimaki from the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX anime.

Initially Torimaki will not Duel the player, due to their Slifer Red status. He begins accepting Duels once the player begins looking for the Duelist in Disguise, believing the player is acting high and mighty.

Torimaki and Raizou Mototani are Chazz's underlings at first, and they remain hostile towards the player until Chazz leaves Duel Academy. After he returns, they notice Chazz has changed and are not sure whether to be friends with him again or not.

Torimaki can be found around the Blue Dorm and the Beach.

Torimaki can give the player 1 copy of any of the following cards each time he is defeated.

  • Torimaki sends the player this message after registering him as a contact.

Subject: Not Bad

Not bad for a Slifer Red. I never would've thought that an elite Blue student like me would register a Red student. You should feel honored that you can duel me!

Not bad at all

You're not bad at all for a Red. To think that a Blue elite like myself just chose to register a Red student as a duelist... Well, we can duel whenever we meet!

  • Torimaki sends the player this message after dueling him 30 times.

Subject: Shocked

I'm surprised you're not a Blue student! But I bet you don't care about color.

It's astonishing that you're not a Blue student! But, then again, you probably aren't very concerned about color.

  • Torimaki uses this Deck at first.
  • After the player defeats Jinzo, Torimaki switches to this Deck.
  • Torimaki switches to this Deck for the rest of the game when the player defeats Kagemaru.
