Renaming of the Archetype[edit]

AbyssScriptOpeningCeremony-JP-Anime-AV-NC.png

In "Episode 072", the animation for the Spell card "Underworld Script - Opening Ceremony", showed the name "Abyss Actor". Could this be the official English translated name for the Archetype?

Edit: Sorry for a bit of confusion. When i meant 'official English translated', i didn't mean to say it was the TCG English name. I meant to say that it maybe the official Romaji-based translated name for the Archetype (mainly OCG based).--Supratim1986 (talkcontribs) 22:03, September 6, 2015 (UTC)

I HIGHLY doubt it. given that IRL versions of the cards don't even exist yet, much less official translations. even if they did exist, why use TCG names in the OCG show?
Don't think too much into it yet

It's defiantly not the official English name. However, I am going to ask if we, the wiki, treat this like we do the character names on screen when they're shown, i.e. ignore it because sometimes consistency is a issue, or take it as an acknowledgement as what their name should be in Japan. This case is a bit different, though. While those character naming cases are in 90% of the cases Japenese people being horrible at romajization, "Abyss Actor" /is/ an actual valid translation for "Makai Gekidan". I really think that "Underworld" is a better translation, but you kinda can understand it as "Abyss". And "Gekidan" is written with the kanjis for "drama/play" and "company/group", so. Either way, I'm very positive the official English name will feature a different adaptation, so we could treat "Abyss Actor" as the JP translated name or something. Or explain about it in the article. Dunno. LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 19:19, September 6, 2015 (UTC)
"Abyss Actor" /is/ an actual valid translation for "Makai Gekidan". This right here basically tears it. So I would support moving the articles to "Abyss Actor". Question is, what to call "Underworld Script"? Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 22:17, September 6, 2015 (UTC)
Would something as simple as "Abyss Script" work? PhotonLegion95 (talkcontribs) 22:24, September 6, 2015 (UTC)4
Well sure, maybe. But if there's a word we can use for "Script" that has the same connotation and starts with "A", it would be better. But given the Underworld Stage cards too, maybe not. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 23:27, September 6, 2015 (UTC)
yeah couldn't get around to it earlier because things, but after thinking about it I realized what he probably meant and I fully Agree that Abyss Actor is probably what they Intended.
So yeah, I'm all For renaming it

I'd say just call the scripts "Abyss Scripts". It makes perfect sense being support cards for "Abyss Actors". LegendaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 00:17, September 7, 2015 (UTC)
