Goldd, Wu-Lord of Dark World[edit]

So, does Goldd belong here? He has the same kanji. MadRest 16:36, March 16, 2013 (UTC)

No, Ark specifically said on NAC "THE BUJIN DO NOT WORK WITH GOLDD." --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 16:46, March 16, 2013 (UTC)

Bujingi[edit]

Aren't the "Bujin Relics" "Bujingi", just like in their English names? I can't say for sure if the "ki" holds or not a dakuten in those small scans, but usually the ideogram would morph to dakuten when "fused" with another word (e.g. Ike + Hana = Ikebana). I can't understand why they left the Bujin relic names, dropping consistency onto some toilet, by changing the god reference in the animal names... and leaving instead something european could never understand ( the Bujin/Bujingi/Bujintei ) without translating it ( War God/War God Relic/War God Emperor ) --HakuNoKaemi (talkcontribs) 08:50, August 1, 2013 (UTC)

The names are puns. They're Bujin (Spirits of War), and Jingi (Relics). That and it could be a case like Ninja and Samurai where they want Awesome McCoolWord left in Japanese. Also God is bad. The Bujingi implies a foreign (and hopefully Japanese) air to them. -- NeoArkadia (talkcontribs) 15:48, August 1, 2013 (UTC)

Dakuten's pretty clear. The Japanese says "Bujingi." As for the weirdness of going "Bujin/gi/tei" while changing the Bujingi's names to refer to their animal instead of their relic...I'd call it a halfway compromise. I won't pretend to understand the rationale, but leaving "Bujin/gi/tei" untranslated in and of itself makes sense in context, given these are Japanese mythological figures we're talking here.--Ryusui (talkcontribs) 16:46, August 1, 2013 (UTC)

It was anyway better to use the original god reference ( Habakiri is cooler than Crane, for example ), they mostly did it as they can insert other Bujin's took from other mythologies ( Warg.... it's nordic ) --HakuNoKaemi (talkcontribs) 18:50, August 1, 2013 (UTC)

Actually Warg is only currently Warg as he hasn't seen an OCG release yet. He'll probably end up being one of the 10 relics. Not to mention his very existence means we've got at least one more Wargod Emperor coming, and considering that the 10 relics were given the shrine by Amaterasu, I think we could well be seeing her finally enter the world of yugioh as the final Wargod Emperor. Though yeah I really wish they'd just given us their full Japanese names. I'm getting sick of tired of bad translations and renames.--The FireFALL (talkcontribs) 21:43, August 20, 2013 (UTC)

DNA Surgery

While I admit that DNA Surgery can be used to sabotage Bujin, it could also be used to speed up summoning of Kagetsuchi, right? --MakutaDethos (talkcontribs) 20:22, January 22, 2017 (UTC)
