Tiras and Adreus[edit]

Should Adreus, Keeper of Armageddon and Tiras, Keeper of Genesis be added to the "related" members? Mattwo (talkcontribs) 15:15, January 27, 2012 (UTC)

Yes, they should be as Falzar/Cheese said so in Dark Counterpart Talk Page. --FredCat 15:21, January 27, 2012 (UTC)
Never mind, other user got it in faster than we blinked. --FredCat 15:26, January 27, 2012 (UTC)
Hm? I don't see any change...Mattwo (talkcontribs) 16:26, January 27, 2012 (UTC)

This "series" treated as an "archetype"[edit]

So theres a difference in "Series" and "archetype". In an archetype, no matter how the card is VERY VERY unrelated and out of the theme, as long as it shares a name to an archetype, it belongs to it. (ex. Queen Dragun Djinn to the Djinn because the Djinn supports also affects Queen but Queen is not on its theme since the theme is like Music and Queen doesnt fit it but part of Djinn since it has a name) In a series, they have no card that supports them as a whole group and even though they share a name, as long as its not on the current theme of the series, they are not part of the series. (ex. Beetron to the Beetron (series) is NOT part of their series because even though though Beetron has the "name", it does not fit their current theme which is the "equip and fuse" and Beetron has no card that mentions "Beetron" as an archetype)

So my point here is judging to the monsters added in this page as "members", people here treat Chaos as an archetype, not a series because "Chaos" monsters even if its VERY VERY unrelated to the theme of this series (which is Lights and Darks), its added as a member. an example is Armytyle the CHAOS Phantom and the CHAOS King Archfiend. Armytyle doesnt fit the Chaos' theme because Armytyle's theme is Sacred beast and i suppose its only been added here because it has Chaos in its name. The same with the Chaos King Archfiend, its very out of the theme yet has been added because of Chaos on its name. Shouldn't we change this? I think that the only members here are BLS, CED, Chaos Goddess, Chaos Sorcerer, Elemental HERO Chaos Neos and Kamionwizard (maybe or maybe not? since its created with Light and Dark monster), and Sphere of Chaos. Though maybe also Lightpulsar Dragon and Darkflare Dragon since they also fit the theme. So what do you guys think? 33royward (talkcontribs) 16:12, April 29, 2012 (UTC)

Add more cards[edit]

I would like to get one thing clear first: the idea of the series is basically any monster with the word "Light" and "Dark" on its lore, name, and/or attributes would be part of it, correct?

I think the page needs Dark Magician of Chaos as well as Light and Darkness Dragon under the related sections. Simply because they have the word Light and Dark in their names. DMoC has a card that refers it be name, Dedication through Light and Darkness. And I guess Shining Abyss counts as well. I've checked their JP names and lores, and they all say 'hikari' and 'yami'.

For now, I will add those in...except I don't know how since there's no edit button on that members/related section.

You're mistaken; the idea behind this series isn't primarily about their names. The main theme is combining or otherwise utilizing LIGHT and DARK monsters, such as through banishing them. Shining Abyss does not do that. Dark Magician of Chaos banishes monsters, but nothing about it actually involves LIGHT monsters, so it has been excluded. --Golden Key (talkcontribs) 00:41, August 28, 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for the clearing. Though now I think our definition of what defines as a "Chaos" monster is a little too tight. DMoC isn't a 'Chaos' monsters simply because it lacks an effect that specifically is directed at light attribute. But it was definitely supposed to be a Chaos monster.

As we all know, Chaos is the name for the fusion of Light and Dark, which I referenced earlier is in the magic card that summons it, plus it came from the same booster pack as the Chaos trio, Invasion of Chaos, it's also the mascot of the pack. Not to mention, it's one of the retrained forms of Yuugi's signature cards, along with EotB. By the way, this is stated in its trivia, but not in EotB's.

Light and Darkness Dragon should definitely be part of it, it's even both a Light and Dark type as well. It doesn't make sense that Sphere of Chaos is part of the series yet this one is not.

Perhaps Chaos Hunter can be part of the series as well as it's the "Dark" counterpart to Chaos Goddess plus it prevents the Chaos monsters from being summoned. By the way, could anyone show me how to edit the members/related list please? --Ultimate Nova X (talkcontribs) 04:00, August 28, 2013 (UTC)

Elemental Hero Chaos Neos should be in as well. And I still don't know how to edit the members/related sections. --Ultimate Nova X (talkcontribs) 17:44, August 28, 2013 (UTC)

Both of these are completely unrelated aside from name, so I disagree. Chaos Hunter does not specify Chaos monsters, and Dark Counterparts are not directly related to Chaos. Light and Darkness Dragon should indeed be added. By the way, please only sign once and remember to double space linesKore wa shomeidesu. (talkcontribs) 03:12, August 29, 2013 (UTC)

Sorry about the edits, I'm used to the idea of not double-posting in forums, so it happened, won't happen again.

Anyway, I wrote a long article on the admin UltimateKuriboh's talk page, as well as my own. Thanks. Don't know if it's a good idea to paste it here. --Ultimate Nova X (talkcontribs) 05:23, August 29, 2013 (UTC)
