I found these fake yu-gi-oh cards selling at the dollar store for $1.99 for a pack of 50. The cards have a sparkly effect across the entire card. The cards are all powerful yu-gi-oh monster cards; The pictures are the similar/same but the names are different. I can scan more of these in, if you want a picture of them. They look like the insecticide card on this page.

Do you have any scans of fake boosters? #DragonOfDestruction 15:46, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

What to do?[edit]

What do you do if you buy a pack of cards and all of them turn out to be fake?

Rage. Rage like you've never raged before, tear the store apart, take dynamite, blow up the store, then go home and have a Twix :D V. Fire Daniels 06:19, February 14, 2010 (UTC)

lmao--Knightkmirror 03:37, April 25, 2010 (UTC)

tip[edit]

If a booster pack inital is CA-something, it is a counterfeit.Airblade86 20:02, 27 July 2008 (UTC)

Where do the come from[edit]

Does anyone know? If you do you should add it to the page.

Jesus Christ[edit]

why do buy cards from the dollar store? That has fake written all over it.and its the dollar store so its not like your out a whole bunch of money.

A counterfeit deck??[edit]

Well, maybe you won't believe me, but the cards in my deck are all counterfeit. If you want the pics I'll scan them so you can see if it's counterfeit or not.

Thanx for your attention! 0///////0

Yugioh GX 1/2/3/4/5 ect. Are Fake, I Bought Them from Spain, But They Dont Have Official Card Grammar, The Right Name, or Even a Sticker! The Pack Looked soooooooooo Real! It Calls DMG Dark Witchy! Yay!

GX #?[edit]

Yugioh GX 1/2/3/4/5 ect. Are Fake, I Bought Them from Spain, But They Dont Have Official Card Grammar, The Right Name, or Even a Sticker! The Pack Looked soooooooooo Real! It Calls DMG Dark Witchy! Yay! Yugioh GX ~?

Origins[edit]

Some of the fakes came from Asia and Germany. I saw German letters and words on a package. Now I seen some poor attempts to copy but this is just stupid. How the hell are they gonna make a fake ADLV10 and color code it as a Syncro monster?? Or give a trap card attack points? I wish there was a class for common sense, these counterfeiters need one.

Yeah, I know. Now, like if they just made it to say, hey look, "I've got this beastly card, I can understand, but if you're going to sell it, then you're being an idiot!!! Use the Yu-Gi-Oh card maker!!!

If you said that all cards without gold/silver stickers are fake, that means world championship tournament cards are fake?

Do fake cards have poo quality picture means faded or blurred?

Bad Picture[edit]

Sorry but what do you mean by bad picture?

The picture quality is very poor compared to the real thing. Irohanihoheto 20:53, March 31, 2010 (UTC)

They can be maddening yes, but they can also fetch you a substatial amount of money if you are willing to sell.

cards Whos names have been faded off are also considered "fake" and cannot be used in a duel. Sorry but thats just life and punishment for those of us who crumple or ruin cards in our backpacks!

Upper Deck[edit]

Didn't Upper Deck use to be legitimate for Yu-Gi-Oh Card manufacture? How does it come to be that they made counterfeit? Also, if Upper Deck used to make real Yu-Gi-Oh cards then how do you tell the difference between one of their real ones and one of their fakes? (Peelster1 (talkcontribs) 01:35, September 14, 2010 (UTC))

Upper deck never had card manufacturing rights. They only had distribution rights. As far as finding a UDE counterfeit you can tell by looking at the attribute of the card because the coloring will be off. You can also tell by the card picture looking a dull or flushed. That's what I have read anyways. Irohanihoheto (talkcontribs) 02:02, September 14, 2010 (UTC)

Funny[edit]

Wanna know funny thing? My firs yu gi oh cards was fake cards. i bought them on Cyprus. But then i found real one Andro Sphinx in BBTOYSTORE.com. Andro was my first REAL yu gi oh card. Then i found yu gi oh store on cyprus and i began bought my real cards.--Andro 01 (talkcontribs) 15:26, March 4, 2011 (UTC)

"Wrong Grammar" and OriCa[edit]

1. The term 'wrong grammar' is in and of itself incorrect grammatically. Please be advised. Thank you.

2. "Fan created cards" are JUST AS MUCH counterfeit as 'those sold for profit.' OriCa cards are, of course, sold for profit. If you don't believe me, go look some up on ebay. They are sold for ridiculous amounts, commonly $60+. ANY production of a copyrighted material (like Yugioh cards) outside of legal, license owned production, is counterfeiting, no matter your 'intentions.'

DrendDragonspawn (talkcontribs) 18:46, April 5, 2011 (UTC)

  1. If it's wrong, feel free to fix it; this is the whole point to allowing anyone to edit.
  2. This may be true under the broadest definitions of "counterfeit", but the word is almost exclusively used to refer specifically to the creation or manufacture of unofficial/unlicensed reproductions with the specific intent of defrauding consumers who believe they're purchasing a legitimate product. ダイノガイ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 02:32, April 6, 2011 (UTC)

Yu-Gi-Oh Card Maker[edit]

Curious, should Yu-Gi-Oh Card Maker be mentioned anywhere here? I mean, it does technically allow for the creation of cards, at least images of such online.--シルバー人柱力 - The Silver Jinchūriki. ("Talk to me.") 09:33, July 12, 2011 (UTC)

Used to, but it is now considered fake so it's not ever post here. Sorry. --FredCat 09:57, July 12, 2011 (UTC)
No, I mean on this article.--シルバー人柱力 - The Silver Jinchūriki. ("Talk to me.") 06:05, July 13, 2011 (UTC)
I don't think Card Maker images are needed in this article. This article is mainly for actual printed fakes that are designed to look similar to real cards. Card Maker images being fake is way too obvious to be worth mentioned in this article. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 06:09, July 13, 2011 (UTC)
Alright just trying to help. (this is why I don't edit much of anywhere, my stuff gets brushed aside)--シルバー人柱力 - The Silver Jinchūriki. ("Talk to me.") 06:20, July 13, 2011 (UTC)
I don't think we should be so quick to brush aside a possible mention of YCM here; while its purpose is definitely not to enable creation of counterfeit cards, it *could* be abused in that way, and the main difference between "fake" and "counterfeit" is mostly one of intent, anyways. I don't think it'd be necessary to point it out as anything like a fake card site, though (this leaves me at a loss to just how we could mention it, to be honest). ダイノガイ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 05:58, July 19, 2011 (UTC)

fake starter deck[edit]

interestingly I have 2 fake starter decks-one is based on the "Dragons Collide" japanese version (does not have herald of creation, mystic tomato etc.) and another is an Inzektor deck. The card grammar is very good, the same to the original card. Although the words on Inzektor Exa-Beetle are blurred a bit... the design of the packages are similar to the designs of real structure deck packages.```` forgot the sig thing...BattleSpiritSlifer (talkcontribs) 12:19, May 5, 2012 (UTC)

Mind if I add some pictures of an suprisingly convincing booster pack, where the only identifiable trait is the "9 cards in everu pack" in the verse? The cards even have those holographic things on the bottom of the card!
