Sorcerer of Dark Magic, Magician's Valkyria, and Buster Blader should be added as related cards in the Dark Magicians archetype categories as well as Buster Blader's support card, Emblem of Dragon Destroyer. Miracle Restoring was already added to this archetype because it supports Dark Magician, but Miracle Restoring also supports Buster Blader, making it a related card, without any further proof needed since Dark Paladin is the fusion of Dark Magician and Buster Blader. Skilled White Magician is BOTH a Buster Blader support AND a (Dark) Magician.

Also, some Spell Counters spellcasters may be related to the Dark Magicians since they wear similar clothing. Some of these might include: Endymion, the Master Magician, Apprentice Magician, Arcanite Magician (including Arcane Apprentice and Arcanite Magician/Assault Mode), Blast Magician, Skilled White Magician (Buster Blader support), Silent Magicians, Silent Swordsmen, and even Miracle Flipper and Card Ejector (appear to be kid versions of Dark Magician and Dark Magician Girl respectively). Breaker the Magical Warrior, Defender the Magical Warrior, Chaos Command Magician, Rapid-Fire Magician, Chaos Sorcerer, and Summoner Monk might also have some type of relation.

Request for Adding Magical Dimension to Support Section[edit]

Dear Sir/Madam:

Could anyone please add Magical Dimension to Support Section asap? This is because Yugi Mutou actually used this cards with Dark Magician Girl in order to Special Summon Dark Magician, in his duel against Yami Marik at the Battle City Final Round.

Thanks, bye!

Deletion Notice[edit]

Why is there a Delete notice on this page? It seems like a valid archetype to me. Ascriptmaster (talkcontribs) 05:52, May 12, 2011 (UTC)

A reason was given, but they messed up the template so it didn't show. Fixed. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 11:48, May 12, 2011 (UTC)
Well I disagree. This is still a valid archetype. There still exists a difference between common spellcasters and the Dark Magician series. This should not be deleted.--Sapphire (talkcontribs) 02:28, May 18, 2011 (UTC)

Merge[edit]

Just merge both pages, but the Magicians page is kinda short, and it doesn't really recommend any cards, so it should just be merged. --Dark Ace SP™ (Talk) 14:38, June 11, 2011 (UTC)

It's been nearly 1-2 months (maybe more) since that delete note was stick on that articles... It's time for them to fuse together now or never. --FredCat 14:44, June 11, 2011 (UTC)

Change series to archetype?[edit]

Since the Dark Magician series have at least three support cards, Dark Magic Attack, Dark Magic Curtain and Knight's Title, shouldn't it be considered an archetype?

I'm asking the same thing for Cyber Dragon, Blue-Eyes and Gaia Knight. If not, then shouldn't Red-Eyes and VWXYZ stop being considered archetypes?

I can do all the changes myself, only if an Admin gives the OK, first. Kentaru Z (talkcontribs) 06:13, May 5, 2012 (UTC)

"Dark Magic Attack", "Dark Magic Curtain", and "Knight's Title" all only support cards with the exact name "Dark Magician"; they do not support any card whose name includes "Dark Magician". That means they aren't support for this series, and that means this is a series, and not an archetype (barring some other card with an effect that does support any card with "Dark Magician" in its name).
Keeping in mind that I haven't looked in-depth, the same appears to be true for "Cyber Dragon" and "Blue-Eyes", and there aren't any possible support cards for "Gaia Knight". By contrast, though, "Red-Eyes" and "VWXYZ" both have explicit support cards, which makes both of them archetypes.
In short, everything appears to be in order here, so no changes are needed for now. If true support cards ever get released or unveiled (e.g. in the anime/manga or a video game), updates will be necessary, but that isn't the case right now. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 07:39, May 5, 2012 (UTC)
Thanks for the complete answer Dinoguy1000, I totally understand the reason why "Blue-Eyes", "Gaia Knight" and "Dark Magician" cannot be considered an archetype yet, however I still have some inquiries about the "Cyber Dragon" series.
Kentaru Z (talkcontribs) 15:02, May 5, 2012 (UTC)
I'll ask them in that series Talk page.

Guys "Dark Magician" is an archetype now because of "The Eye of Timaeus" so this has to stay--Wasn't 16:04, March 31, 2014 (UTC)
Wasn't, this discussion was almost two years old; there was no need to respond to it. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 19:22, March 31, 2014 (UTC)
Ur Rite but Sorry I didn't realize that when I was typing that. --Wasn't 02:24, April 5, 2014 (UTC)

Disappearing Acts[edit]

Should "Magical Hats" and "Mystic Box" be added to the related category? I know that since they were only used with Dark Magician or Dark Magician may not count for enough, but in the anime it seemed they were required and they were Dark Magician's Dungeon Dice Monsters effects. —This unsigned comment was made by DCAUBatman (talkcontribs) 02:51, October 2, 2012‎ (UTC)

Skilled Black Magician[edit]

Is there any reason why "Skilled Dark Magician" is not listed in the members area?DarkMastero (talkcontribs) 07:13, May 2, 2014 (UTC)

Because its Japanese name doesn't qualify it as a member. Since the game mainly comes from Japan, we base archetype membership based on Japanese names. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 07:20, May 2, 2014 (UTC)
