Name[edit]

Is it possible to shorten the name? Something like Number C69: Death Crest? Energy X 10:41, June 30, 2013 (UTC)

Probably but I think accuracy is better - except in the case of repetition where I would argue that removing a redundancy to shorten a long name is fine a la what happened to Number 66: Master Key Beetle a while back - although shouldn't "紋章" be translated as Heraldry considering that's how it is translated for Number 69: Heraldry Crest (or does the furigana/something else show not to - I can't quite make it out >_< )?!!! Until we know for sure what the English name will be, his works just as well. --Rocket.knight.777 (talkcontribs) 14:21, June 30, 2013 (UTC)
I suppose so. possibly related note: how do we actually ake this card show up in Heraldry - or is this media wiki/whateveritis being stupid again >.> Sardeth42 (talkcontribs) 15:27, June 30, 2013 (UTC)
Oh, it needs time, you could try going in edit mode and press Publish without changing anything - it might show up to you. Energy X 15:29, June 30, 2013 (UTC)
Ah thanks, null edits for the win, lol -- Sardeth42 (talkcontribs) 01:11, July 1, 2013 (UTC)

If you guys want an english name, try Number C69: Doom Hearldy Chaos Crest.--im gay (talkcontribs) 16:18, June 30, 2013 (UTC)

Why not simply Number C69: Heralrdry Chaos Crest?--Hawk00Refferencer (talkcontribs) 16:30, June 30, 2013 (UTC)

Why not call it "Number C69: Heraldry Doom" or "Number C69: Heraldery Death" Brubio1010 (talkcontribs) 17:01, June 30, 2013 (UTC)Brubio1010

Archetypes take precedent here. At the least, this will be moved to replace "Medallion" with "Heraldry". If we're going to do anything else, I'd suggest "Number C69: Des Heraldry". "Death" usually becomes "Des" and its probable they'd remove the rest of it just like the base form. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 20:47, June 30, 2013 (UTC)
So, if there are no objections, I'll move it accordingly tomorrow. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 21:32, June 30, 2013 (UTC)
Just "Des Heraldry"? It needs to have "Chaos" at least. I don't think it's even necessary to adapt "death." 69's TCG name ignores the "God" in "God Medallion" anyway. 27.50.20.34 (talk) 00:41, July 1, 2013 (UTC)
I also think it is likely that they will drop death entirely; but as this is an unoffical translation, would it not be better to try and be more accurate? - I only thought Heraldry over Medallion because that is how its been translated for the rest of the Archetype... Personally I agree with Hawk -- Sardeth42 (talkcontribs) 01:11, July 1, 2013 (UTC)

How about Number C69: Heraldry Chaos.66.233.131.184 (talk) 00:43, July 1, 2013 (UTC)

Yes, I like "Heraldry Chaos Crest", too. 27.50.20.34 (talk) 01:12, July 1, 2013 (UTC)
I like Heraldry Chaos more, as I can't see how Chaos of Arms would related to Crest (Crest and Coat of Arms has similar meanings in English, that's why Number 69 is named "Heraldry Crest"). Đặng Việt Dũng (talkcontribs) 02:54, July 1, 2013 (UTC)
Beside "Chaos Number", I would agree with you - there are no other way to make it known as "Chaos of Arms". It's just little instense to have that title of we could just following the normal way, like with Utopia's evolution forms. (Ray, Ray V, and Ray Victory) --iFredCat 03:39, July 1, 2013 (UTC)
Personally I thought Crest was a good short somewhat connected to the idea of Coat of Arms - which is what i took from the Japanese name - yes transliteration doesn't have Coat of Arms but I think crest carries a similar idea in terms of representation (of representation). Is it really necassary to shorten it further, I mean come on it makes sense as "Number C69: Heraldry Chaos Crest" and doesn't seem to be redundant or differing from the possible meanings of the Japanese name. ??? -- Sardeth42 (talkcontribs) 07:04, July 1, 2013 (UTC)
Right, a coat of arms is a type of crest. Though I don't appreciate that was moved without the discussion concluding, I will say I think the chosen name is better than any other presented on this page. So yeah, I'm fine with the current page name. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 15:32, July 1, 2013 (UTC)
