Request for clean-up[edit]

Can someone please clean-up the Introduction? It just looks a mess. 91.84.117.87 (talk) 14:46, September 7, 2010 (UTC)

More of an Archetype?[edit]

Is it just me, or does the whole "Psychic" thing seem more like just another archetype (Such as Lightsworn, or Blackwing) than another new type of monster? the only reason I say this is the fact that all Psychics have similar downsides or effects, and almost always affect one another. The Monsters all have effects that cost life points, and affect other Psychics only, the Spells involve paying life points to aid them, and the Traps mainly focus on regenerating life points. Also, the Synchros usually have effects that increase life points. And they pretty much set the type in stone with Telekinetic Charging Cell. Now, they need to focus on that card before making any new Psychics. It makes Master Gig broken, that's for sure.

The whole set seems like an archetype that was too big for just card names, is all. I dunno, tell me what you guys think...

I have to agree to this. It just seems far too specific for it to be generalized as a 'type.' I mean, yes they all look alike, but not all do. I mean, the Majestic Mechs look like machines, but they're fairies. Even Aurkus is considered a Beast-Warrior even though he's not. >.> Plus, adding a 'Psychic' Type, seems like too much of a ripoff of Pokemon, as is the term 'Release' is a knock off of Card Captor Sakura. • Yes, because Pokemon owns the word "Psychic" and the mechanical monsters in Yu-Gi-Oh! are soooo similar to purple cats and mutated foxes with mustaches, in the same way that CCS owns the copyright to the word "release" and is clearly a rip-off despite having no similarities at all to the Yu-Gi-Oh! game mechanic. [/sarcasm] (It's sad that I feel the sarcasm anchor is necessary.) Grow up.--YamiWheeler 19:27, March 25, 2010 (UTC)

I disagree. Although the psychic cards mostly support one another, a growing number of psychics do not. I feel that in time psychic will grow to become large enough to stand on their own as a type, however no-one will go for these decks if they did not start as an archetype of sorts. Just wait for the new structure deck, "telekinetic psychosis" or something to that effect.99.189.197.225 14:05, October 17, 2009 (UTC)

There is a new water type psychic is Powerforce pack.

How many dark psychics are there? how would you use them in a dark remove-from-play-and-bring-it-on-back deck? (yeah i think psychics could be the new meta)could someone build me a deck?
