Automated transfer of Problem Report #16138[edit]

The following message was left by Dark Fear via PR #16138 on 2008-12-10 21:52:31 UTC

I ve got a question. On this official upperdeck site http://entertainment.upperdeck.com/yugioh/en/gameplay/faqs/cardfaqs/default.aspx?first=I&last=K

In the card rulings of Imperial Iron Wall says this about quillbolt hedgehog.

If "Quillbolt Hedgehog" is Special Summoned with its effect, when it is removed from the field while "Imperial Iron Wall" is active it is not removed from play. While "Imperial Iron Wall" is active, if it is TRIBUTED or used as a SYNCHRO MATERIAL MONSTER for a Synchro Summon, it

Deletion[edit]

Delete this? Why? It could be potentially good. Plaguespreader Zombie and Quillbolt Hedgehog even work perfectly together.

The flagger gave their reason in the edit summary. -- Deltaneos (talk) 17:43, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
Wow. This deck is completely legal considering the effect is resolved, so therefore a LEGAL loop is created. There is no reason for this deck to be deleted, and that "reason" I have read... all I am getting out of it is that he is complaining that he can't activate Imperial Iron Wall on that first turn. Well tough, but the deck still works just as good. Personally, I think this deck has potential to be great, and I don't think it is reasonable to delete this. --- Johawesomenny
If it isn't technically a one turn kill, would it be okay to rewrite any parts that use the term "OTK" and rename the page something like "Quillbolt Loop"? -- Deltaneos (talk) 22:57, 10 January 2009 (UTC)

I agree this article should stay and be renamed something like what Deltaneos suggested. User:Trivi-AM (User talk:Trivi-AM)

Not Legal[edit]

This deck is not legal

If "Quillbolt Hedgehog" is Special Summoned with its effect, when it is removed from the field while "Imperial Iron Wall" is active it is not removed from play. While "Imperial Iron Wall" is active, if it is TRIBUTED or used as a Synchro Material Monster for a Synchro Summon, it will be SENT to the Graveyard.[1]

This is a ruling of imperial iron wall, you must tribute Quillbolt Hedgehog to activate cannon soldier, mass driver etc. This loop is not legal. Maybe if the card said "send" a monster instead of "tribute" it would be. Why they say this loop is legal? This article should be deleted or corrected. —This unsigned comment was made by Dark Fear (talkcontribs) 01:20, 12 April 2009 (UTC)

Yes, the ruling says it will be sent to the Graveyard if it is Tributed... That would be exactly where it is required to go for this to work. -- Deltaneos (talk) 01:27, 12 April 2009 (UTC)

Does it REALLY need the GIANT Pictures of Quillbolt Hedgehog?[edit]

Does it really need it?~MEOW~ Might of the BIRD Empire~~ 19:46, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

  • I'm guessing it doesn't, since most people could just click on the link to Quillbolt's article. Probably should remove it. --Bluedog (Talk) 20:12, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

The Deck is completly legal.[edit]

This deck is completly legal, look the erratas of the cards, you guys are creating storms in a glass of water just because you are afraid the loop.

Xyz Material potential?[edit]

Being used as an Xyz Material gets around the self-imposed banishing, correct? If so, here's another way of doing this:

-In Extra Deck: 3x each of Daigusto Phoenix, Gachi Gachi Gantetsu, Number 96: Dark Mist, and Shine Elf. -On field: Any Tuner Monster, Cannon Soldier -In graveyard or on field: 3x Quillbolt Hedgehog

Revive the Hedgehogs, overlay for the Xyz Monsters, fire them off with Cannon Soldier to send the Xyz Material'd Hedgehogs back to the Graveyard; repeat until Extra Deck is empty. Going through 12 Xyz Monsters would deal 6000 damage; the Quillbolts and the Tuner Monster cover the last 2000.

This also has the advantage of not having to wait a turn to utilize Imperial Iron Wall.

Please go to Forum if you're discussing about this; this sound like we are talking about how to create a deck base on that. --FredCat 12:14, January 24, 2012 (UTC)

Quillbolt Hedgehog FTK[edit]

I think if to that deck add a "Bait Doll" Spell Card. It let a user activate Imperial Iron Wall immediately. Then, by sending Quillbolt Hedgehog on graveyard special summon Quickdraw Synchron, and use a Hedgehog's ability to summon himself from grave. Next Normal Summon Cannon Soldier and already start using a special eff to deliver opponent burn damage. I know is a very rare get that cards already in hand during first turn (Imperial Iron Wall, Bait Doll, Quickdraw Synchron, Quillbolt Hedgehog and Cannon Soldier), but think. This combo could be possible, if get a cards what let you draw more cards, huh? What do you think? Smart idea, huh? --Neo Razora 21:28, November 11, 2014 (UTC)

If you Set "Imperial Iron Wall" and use "Bait Doll" on it during the same turn, you'll destroy your own Wall, since the activation timing is incorrect (you can't activate the same turn it is Set). --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 22:03, November 11, 2014 (UTC)
