New Spirit Monsters[edit]

Do any of you think there will be any new spirit monsters in the future? --Evil Yugi 12:59, 26 March 2007 (UTC)

Significance[edit]

Should it be mentioned on this page that most, if not all, Spirit Monsters have some form of mythological significance (or come from mythology -- e.g. Yata-Garasu, Hino-Kagu-Tsuchi, Yamata Dragon, etc.)? 72.234.50.130 01:27, 19 October 2008 (UTC)

  • Yes. You can link to Trivia pages, which should expand upon the significance of each card.--TwoTailedFox (My Talk Page) 14:56, 19 October 2008 (UTC)

Question[edit]

during the endphase, will a spirit monster return to the hand after your opponent uses a Book of Total Eclipse??

And does an Interdimensional matter transporter work? i mean it returns to the field during the end phase so after it returns to the field, you're still in your endphase so it returns to the hand, is that how it works??

Y this card doesn't have an archetype even though it has support cards like "Spiritual Energy Settle Machine", "Mirror of Yata", "Orb of Yasaka", "Sword of Kusanagi", etc?--Wasn't 23:24, August 18, 2011 (UTC)

Don't They Still Return?[edit]

On the turn during which it are Normal Summoned, Flip Summoned, or flipped face-up, shouldn't the Spirit monster return regardless of where it is? Meaning that they have to get rid of it face-down or from anywhere but the field to truly keep it away. --Guest —This unsigned comment was made by 69.37.130.149 (talkcontribs)

Destruction of Spirit Monsters[edit]

Can Spirit Monsters be destroyed in battles or be tributed? Whether the answer is either yes or no, will they go to the graveyard or will they go back into its owner's hand? —This unsigned comment was made by Cchiu56 (talkcontribs)

Maharaghi[edit]

Can Spirit Monsters, like Maharaghi, be destroyed in battles or be tributed? If yes, will they go to the graveyard or will they go back into its owner's hand after this happens? —This unsigned comment was made by Cchiu56 (talkcontribs)

F.A.I.L. Look up. I'll even underline it for you. Falzar FZ 01:07, May 30, 2010 (UTC)

Anime Appearence[edit]

I'd just like to add that Noah Kaiba used this during the anime as well. I think that he should be added into the article as many other Archetype pages contain characters who have used them in the anime. Though, I don't know where you would put it in this article. Maybe after the part where it discusses Yata-Garasu or maybe after the paragraph that starts with "Spirit Monster Cards are designated..."?--Qim1 00:30, June 19, 2010 (UTC)

By Order of the Emperor[edit]

Surely you can negate the effect of it returning and have field presence witch is this decks biggest weakness and also draw a card... —This unsigned comment was made by 94.6.19.217 (talkcontribs)

Are you sure you actually read the card properly? Here, I'll emphasize the parts that you're meant to have read. "... negate... Monster's effect that activates when a monster is Normal Summoned..."
Last I checked, returning to the hand is at the End Phase, not when the monster is summoned. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 05:56, July 26, 2010 (UTC)

But doesn't the cards effect activate when it first is normal summoned it says "This card returns to the owner's hand during the End Phase of the turn that this card is Normal Summoned or flipped face-up."The last part is the effect I mean and if it were just the end phase wouldn't mirror of yata not keep the spirit monster on the field thanks for the help Yin And Yang Dragon (talkcontribs) 12:52, July 28, 2010 (UTC)
