I added his level. Since the Excess Summon page said that Excess Monsters can only be Excess Summoned by using 2 or more monsters of the same Level on the field before it was changed, and the scans I saw of the chapter showed that 1 of the 2 monsters Ryoga used to summon Aero Shark was 3, I figured it had to be a Level 6 monster. And since there's absolutely no data on this guy other than his pic, I thought I'd put it in.

Does anyone think I'm wrong?

Card Color?

Is Aero Shark's name brown/rust-colored because that is how these cards will be colored, or is that just a placeholder until we know?

I hope not. I was hoping for red.

Spanish Name

I agree but the name "Tiburón Aerodinámico" is already linked to a link in the Spanish Yu-Gi-Oh! Wikia. If you change a Spanish name you break the link to that. At least until I could talk with the Spanish Wikia community. But I'm on a free time of the Wikia due to school. But you know... Spanish Wikia isn't that good as english yugioh wikia. And about the name yes it should stay as Tiburón Aéreo User Talk: Gotikaster

I would agree too, but you should also know that the Spanish TCG sometimes do have bad names. See the Elemental Heroes, whose most of them have their names without translation, like Sparkman or Burstlady whose Spanish names are "Héroe Elemental Sparkman" and "Héroe Elemental Burstlady". Name

If the card is being translated as "Underwater Warship - Aero Shark", then why is the page name simply "Aero Shark"? We don't now that they'll shorten it upon translation. Cheesedude (talk • contribs) 05:26, April 12, 2011 (UTC)

New Archetype

I'm thinking a new Archetype page should be made for those new creatures in Generation Force that remove fish and stuff from play

Multiple names

When I say "Japanese names", I mean the Japanese text on the cards. They are different for "Poseidon Wave" and "Zeus Breath". For both versions of "Aero Shark", they are the same. Meaning they are the same card. Cheesedude (talk • contribs) 17:55, February 19, 2013 (UTC)

We didn't, Viz Media translated it that way. They tend to differ from Konami's translations when the manga cards are made into OCG/TCG cards. --UltimateKuriboh (talk • contribs) 18:04, February 19, 2013 (UTC)

Nothing. The page is fine the way it is. It uses a different name in the manga, so we use the "manganame" parameter to specify that and call it by the manga name in manga articles. Cheesedude (talk • contribs) 19:18, February 19, 2013 (UTC)

If you want to do it your way, you'd have to wait and find other people who agree with you. We operate on consensus. My opinion alone is weighted no more than yours is alone.

There's nothing that needs done here. As Cheesedude already explained, the manga card has the same Japanese name as the anime and real-life cards do. Same name + same artwork + same stats + same overall effect = same card; a different English name does not mean anything.

More generally, the English manga makes a habit of using its own translations for card names; if that were enough to justify an entirely separate article, we would have to create and maintain several hundred new articles. This also doesn't address the cases where it's the anime version instead that uses a different translated name than the real-life card, or video game versions, or cards mentioned in official announcements and the like under a different translated name, or cases where the Japanese name does differ in some insignificant manner, such as the addition or removal of a nakaguro (・). Further, even cases such as Poseidon Wave/Zeus' Breath aren't going to stay separate forever; part of the upcoming card article redesign is going to be merging together all such cases, since we'll be able to much more obviously present the original Japanese and translated English names as needed. 「ディノ奴千？！」^{? · ☎ Dinoguy1000} 00:01, February 20, 2013 (UTC)
