Rename[edit]

The card's name has the kanji for "Makai", which has been translated most consistently as "Darkworld", as noted by "Darkworld Thorns", "Cyber Soldier of Darkworld" and the flavor lore of "Kozaky" (even though Konami derped by saying "Dark World"). --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 17:53, February 16, 2013 (UTC)

This isn't a series, also there are lots of cards that use "Makai" that aren't translated like that, so there's no reason to give them a unified translation. The kanji literally means "Demon World". Most recently, it has been translated as "Evil World", but it is not likely that they're going to continue using that since this isn't an archetype; therefore, how the TCG will translate it is an assumption. I know it isn't a series, and I know that Konami jumps all over the place when translating Makai. Most definitely, they won't be translating it as "Demon World", so I only offer "Darkworld" as a temporary solution. And you don't need to respond Master D, since I understand your argument and you would only reiterate you have said. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 20:22, February 16, 2013 (UTC)
Oh yes, there is also "Darkworld Shackles". --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 01:59, February 17, 2013 (UTC)

I think his name shouldn't be directly translated as stated earlier, I think just to get a name out there that it should be (Balmung, Swordsman of Zeo) Zeo stands for Zone of Evil Overworld just saying again as a suggestion 8:49 20 February 2013 --InsaneBlur777 (talkcontribs) 01:50, February 21, 2013 (UTC)

No, unless the name is remotely close to the translated name, it won't be used. MadRest 11:30, February 23, 2013 (UTC)

We have a clear view of the card right now, and the last katakana reads "ku" () rather than "gu" (). Should we change the name to "Balmunk"? --Gadjiltron (talkcontribs) 01:25, April 16, 2013 (UTC)

Yeah, that part should be changed. 135.0.164.25 (talk) 23:54, April 19, 2013 (UTC)
