Attack Information[edit]

I can't help but note that you removed my little (Attack: ) bits when you made the switch to episode pages. Exactly WHY did you do this?74.138.7.148 22:16, 26 October 2007 (UTC)

Wasn't me, they were already gone before the Duel summary got moved. -- Deltaneos 22:18, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
Cum again? --TwoTailedFox (My Talk Page) 22:18, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
Mr. TwoTailed, I had placed descriptions of Duel Monsters' attacks on the individual duel pages like this:
Yugi draws blah blah blah destroys Saggi (Attack: The dragon shoots a fireball from it's mouth) and plays blah blah blah
I took a short leave while trying to make a page for Yugi Muto vs. Duke Devlin. When I came back, my attack snippets were gone completely. I would like to meet the person who got rid of them! 74.138.7.148 19:34, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
Never mind. I've set a trap. I've brought them back on this episode only. This gives whoever-they-are two choices: Change it and expose themselves or leave it and let it spread!
Dude are you actually threatning the person who removed them? -- Deltaneos 20:14, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
The person who removed them did say "As much as I love your attack information, it is still useless and we don't need it". I admit I kinda agree with them. Care to say why they should stay before I remove them from this page? -- Deltaneos 19:05, 7 November 2007 (UTC)

Okay, I guess I'll take them down and retire...but anyone wishing to may put simalar things on the Anime and Manga References pages!74.138.7.148 13:36, 24 November 2007 (UTC) !

I don't recommend to threat someone that can block you in a second. --Dragon Slayer 16:46, 24 November 2007 (UTC)
I considered him a foe at that point. Could you tell him that I'm sorry, and that I didn't know his side of the story? Oh, and mention that I think they belong in the Anime and Manga sections. I bet he'd join up, he said he liked them!74.138.7.148 01:17, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
I don't think they're a "he". -- Deltaneos 01:20, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
I don't think they has anything against you, don't worry. By the way, some of the attacks are on the Anime Sections. So if you want to put them there I have no problem (That was just for me, if someone is against it, put it here). --Dragon Slayer 01:28, 27 November 2007 (UTC)

I think I'll start on Christmas break, when I'll have time. Oh, and anyone can do some themselves. I highly reccomend telling Person-whose-name-I-don't-know-but-would-like-to-know-that-deleted-my-adittedly-superfluous-snippets about this little project, she claimed to like them, despite the fact that they don't belong where I put them.

Destroyed Monsters[edit]

Sorry to be rude, but may someone reveal the identities of the monsters Saggi the Dark Clow and Blue-Eyes White Dragon destroyed during turn fast forwards? I want to improve the dueling part as accurately as possible. MezzoDragon 00:25, 20 February 2009 (UTC)

Featured Duels subsections[edit]

I think we should stick with subheaders (=== ===) for Joey Wheeler vs Yugi Muto and Seto Kaiba vs Yami Yugi, rather than put them inside

. This way the content is clearly divided into two, the reader can immediatly see what Duels take place from the table of contents and click on one to jump straight to the one they want to see. I know we've mostly used the

"artifical headers", particularly for episodes with only 1 Duel. That's probably because the content below Featured Duels and for example Yusei Fudo vs Jack Atlas would be pretty much the same, so it doesn't need two mentions in the table and the reader can easily see who's dueling by simply reading the intro or even just looking at the infobox image. -- Deltaneos (talk) 13:40, September 14, 2009 (UTC)

Linking numbers[edit]

Is there any point of linking ATK and DEF values to the list of monsters with that amount. e.g. [[800 ATK Monsters|800]] [[ATK]]. 800 is just a value. I don't think it's something people need to visit an article for more info on. I can't see why anyone reading the summary will stop when they see a monster has a certain ATK value and decide to look up a list of all monsters with that much ATK. -- Deltaneos (talk) 02:37, October 12, 2009 (UTC)

Sorry. I just thought since those have been listed, that they may be important to link. As you can tell, I am a complete and utter moron (not joking). Please send me a list of what I should and should not link to prevent these type of problems from reoccurred, okay? MezzoDragon 11:43, October 12, 2009 (UTC)
I notice you put yourself down an awful lot. You are not as bad as you think you are. You've helped this site more than a lot of other users.
For this page I wasn't telling you off for adding those links. You didn't do anything wrong by adding them. There is no policy stating whether we should or shouldn't add such links. If you think we should use them, you are entitled to make the edit or contribute to a discussion about it.
I didn't think they were necessary for the above reasons. I posted that message to see if anyone else agreed with removing the links or if it would change your mind. if people can give sufficient reasons why we should keep them, then we will.
As for policy/guidline pages to look at, we don't have that many. I've been meaning to get around to making more. Currently we have:
Although none of them seem to really cover the pages you usually edit, but hopefully we have some more in the near future. -- Deltaneos (talk) 12:31, October 12, 2009 (UTC)

Featured Cards[edit]

"Emperor of the Land and Sea", "Gaia the Fierce Knight", "Sangan", and "The Melting Red Shadow" are all listed as appearing in Kaiba's briefcase in this episode, but I don't see any of them in 4Kids' dubbed version ("Emperor" may be the card in the bottom row and the sixth-from-left column, I don't know). Were these removed or switched out (or just cropped out) during adaption? (also note that I'm still working through the episode, so this list may grow)

Also, would it be worth trying to identify any of these cards? A quick visual comparison suggests they don't match the more detailed view. ダイノガイ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 22:22, August 31, 2011 (UTC)

The first briefcase scene you linked to is at least the same in the Japanese version. -- Deltaneos (talk) 22:53, August 31, 2011 (UTC)
Well, except that it's cropped some (which I've been suspecting for a while now). I wonder if any of the 4Kids VHS/DVD releases are uncropped? ダイノガイ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 22:57, August 31, 2011 (UTC)
Not sure on that. As for the other briefcase shot, I don't see any harm in attempting to identify them, but I'd like to see if the shot is the same in the Japanese version as well. For me though, the shot is too blurry to make out much, but I think I do see "Ryu-Kishin" on the bottom row. And now I"m wondering what episode 4Kids started there "changing cards for the lolz" practices. I'm honestly surprised all these remained the same. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 23:07, August 31, 2011 (UTC)
Any idea what the alligator-looking monster next to Battle Steer in Kaiba's briefcase is? It looks familiar, but I can't place it. Also, any ideas for the Fusion Monster next to Empress Judge here (a clearer picture would definitely help with this)? ダイノガイ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 23:50, August 31, 2011 (UTC)
The alligator thing is "Air Eater", which is listed. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 23:55, August 31, 2011 (UTC)
If you meant the other side of "Battle Steer", it's "Anthrosaurus". -- Deltaneos (talk) 23:57, August 31, 2011 (UTC)
Yep, that's the one I meant (guess I should have specified ;) ). Thanks! ダイノガイ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 00:33, September 1, 2011 (UTC)
Heh, I actually considered mentioning the card above it too ("Togex"), since all three monsters do vaguely resemble alligators. When I checked the pictures, I missed the one that showed "Anthrosaurus" in the first place, though I likely wouldn't have known what it was anyway. First season rules[edit]

I don`t understand all rules from the Duelist Kingdom Season.

1. What would´ve happened if a player decides to play no monsters?
2. What if a player decides to play all his monsters in defence position and his opponent has very strong monsters but no cards to change the foes monsters to attack position? —This unsigned comment was made by 77.13.152.190 (talkcontribs) 13:20, January 5, 2012

1; Then player can't attack directly if other don't have any monsters.
2; Then player should not attack the strong defense and wait it out.
And be sure to remember sign your edits with four tildes, it's important for us to know who it was from. Thank you. --FredCat 13:23, January 5, 2012 (UTC)--77.13.152.190 (talk) 13:26, January 5, 2012 (UTC)

But that would mean that the weaker player could play nothing and wait till the stronger player has no cards left.--77.13.152.190 (talk) 13:28, January 5, 2012 (UTC)

That can be certain, but so far, there are no record of player loss with deck out in this season. --FredCat 13:32, January 5, 2012 (UTC)

No. Kaiba lost against Pegasus because of deck out.--77.13.152.190 (talk) 18:35, January 5, 2012 (UTC)

World Champion[edit]

"he's the number 1 ranked duelist in the country and the favorite to win the Duel Monsters World Championship"

Wasn´t Kaiba already WORLD champion? I´m sure that has clearly been said. At least in the german synchro.--77.13.147.225 (talk) 09:32, January 7, 2012 (UTC)
